I came across this post while scrolling and couldn’t resist sharing — it’s so perfect for my sewing journal theme right now!
It’s a piece of vintage sewing ephemera that someone’s great-aunt kept, probably over 100 years old. Each fabric swatch is a clever play on words:
Banker = Checks
Editor = Print
Fisherman = Netting
Storyteller = Yarn (my favorite!)
Farmer = Grosgrain (“Grow grain”)
Clockmaker = Ticking

I love that people were already making and sharing these funny, creative things long before the internet — it really connects to why I love journaling with vintage pieces. 💕
