On Sunday, we continue the ongoing Higher Ground Conference that will run throughout the Sundays in the month of August.

Today, Rev. Dr Onyeka Emedosi , discussed the topic "THE GIFT OF MEN."

The gift of men is a social power vested on human persons.
No man is an island, we need each other to blossom.

Don't say you don't need a man; God vested an authority on man to function here on earth on his behalf.

Without men in your life; you will cover a mile that won't take months in years. (John 5: 2-9)

HOW TO ACCESS THE GIFT OF MEN:

√ Communication Strategies: Being gracious with our words. (Proverbs 12:25)

√ Paying into people's emotions bank through hospitality. (1 Peter 4:9)

√ Build good relationships with people. (Proverbs 27:17)

√ Good name: Our name is one of the things that opens doors for us and makes us have access to men. (Proverbs 22:1)

√ Be good in whatever you're doing, and the favour of God will bring men. Give yourself improvement.( 1 Samuel 16: 16-18

WHAT THE GIFT OF MEN CAN GIVE YOU:
• Sponsorship
• Recommendation
• Access to the heart of Kings

So, while you pray for the gift of men; prepare yourself ahead, also pray to sustain good relationships.

Today at my church we started our Higher Ground conference that will last the whole Sunday in August and the Theme is: WHY SIT HERE!

Our vicar Rev. Canon Ifeanyichukwu Agu (Ph.D) today spoke on the Topic: TAKE ACTION. And our text is taken from the book of 2 Kings 7:1-4.

•. Except you take action, you will always remain where you are.

• There are opportunities you can't embrace if you don't take the necessary actions to get yourself prepared ahead of time.

THINGS THAT HINDERS US FROM TAKING ACTIONS:
√. Insensitivity: Not being able to know when to take action.
√. Procrastination: Unnecessary delay from doing the things you ought to do. (Proverbs 3:28)
√. Laziness: Not willing to do anything. (Proverbs 22:13)

AREAS OF OUR LIVES THAT NEED US TO TAKE ACTION:
• Our behavior
• Our Spiritual Life
• Investment/ Personal Development.

Always go to church with your Bible, Jotter and pen, so as to take note of some teachings and visit them later.
Remember, whatever we have written down, we can always access.

BE GRACIOUS WITH YOUR WORDS..

Some of us don't know how to talk. Our words ought to be seasoned with wisdom.

So many people have destroyed beautiful relationships because of how they talk..

We should know the importance of speaking kindly and thoughtfully, avoiding hurtful or destructive words.Our words should focus on using our words to encourage, support, and uplift others.

When we realize that our words hurt people. Let's apologize to them.

Ephesians 4:29:
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." (NIV)

I know of a keke man That started off as a barrow pusher. Helping people to carry their goods with his wheelbarrow..

He started off little this way. And he constantly aims to grow from just being a barrow pusher to something more.

He started saving and from there he got other help and got himself a rickshaw (Keke)

Don't be scared of starting little as long as it is legit.. And don't get comfortable with being small that you refuse to grow.

We were all little babies when we were born, but we have also grown from being that little baby to various development.
