It's the most wonderful time of the year! That means that it's time for our annual Christmas Card exchange!!! 🎄 Send us a card and we will send you one back. I get so goofy excited for this every year. I am currently on the way home from Hobby Lobby with a car full of Christmas stationary [don't worry, Ron is driving].

I'd like to introduce to the world....Ronald Richard Rayfield IV born at 39+2 weeks. 7.4 pounds and 20in long. Ron was so kind and supportive during the wild ride [literally since he drove me for 30 minutes to the hospital at full dialation on windy back country roads. I thought that I was going to give birth in the car]. My water broke at 3:30 in the morning...then all was quiet until 10 am. I just about skipped the mild contractions and went straight into intense labor with contractions occurring every 1-3 minutes for 5 hours [it was all natural, no epidural]. Everyone is healthy. All is well.
We tried to give birth at home but I chickened out after being 10 cm dialated with pushing for at least 2 hours as I hadn't felt baby move in a few hours. I was worried about him. Turns out that he was super healthy the whole time though. Once we made it to the hospital he was out after 30 minutes of pushing. I'm glad that we moved to the hospital as it gave me peace of mind. The folks here are SO KIND.
