The Power of Consistent Practice in Monkey Kung Fu
Kung fu, like life, is a journey of dedication, discipline, and discovery. Monkey Kung Fu teaches us to be adaptable, playful, and precise. But none of these qualities are born overnight—they are forged through consistent, mindful practice.
Each time you step onto the mat, you plant a seed. At first, it may seem small and insignificant. Your movements may feel awkward, your body may resist, and your mind may doubt. But with every repetition, every fall, and every moment of persistence, you water that seed.
Monkey Kung Fu reminds us to stay curious and lighthearted, even in the face of challenges. Like the nimble monkey, we must learn to embrace failure as a stepping stone to mastery. The monkey’s strength lies in its ability to adapt and flow with its surroundings—qualities that only come through consistent training.
Remember, mastery is not in the grand gestures, but in showing up every day. A single swing, a focused step, or a precise stance practiced daily will transform into instinctive power over time. Be patient, trust the process, and find joy in the journey.
The true essence of Monkey Kung Fu lies not in how much you achieve in a day, but in the unwavering commitment to improve every day. Through consistency, you don’t just become stronger—you become unshakable. Keep training, keep growing, and let the playful spirit of the monkey guide you to greatness.

Sunday w/ Sifu
What is Kung Fu? One of the many definitions of Kung Fu means accomplishment through hard work. This is for fight training, and self-defense but also for LIFE.
As a fitness professional and Monkey Kung Fu Sifu, I often get asked "What is the easiest way to gain skills or get healthy?" My answer is often "Why does it need to be easy?" Most things that are easy are not worth much because there is no difficulty in attaining them.
Kung Fu is a lifelong journey meant to progress your body, mind, and spirit over time. It won't be easy, you will have to endure, and you will succeed if you keep training. Don't take shortcuts in training or on your journey. In the end, you only limit yourself.
Sigung Ah Sang loved to say "Eat the bitterness to taste the sweet." and this saying hits hard. Learn to embrace the difficulties of training. Find peace in the pain. Enjoy your hard work and dedication.
No matter what style or system you train, keep going. Eat the bitterness and don't quit. You will succeed if you keep moving with good intentions, purpose, and a growth mindset!
Please train safely & wisely.
Best,
Sifu B

Dit Da Jow: The Ancient Chinese Remedy for Pain Relief and Healing
If you’re looking for a natural way to relieve pain and speed up the healing process, you may want to consider Dit Da Jow. This traditional Chinese herbal liniment has been used for centuries to treat injuries and reduce inflammation, and it’s gaining popularity in the Western world as more people seek natural alternatives to pharmaceutical drugs.
So what exactly is Dit Da Jow? The name translates to “hit-fall wine” or “fall and hit medicine,” and it’s essentially a combination of herbs that are steeped in alcohol for several weeks to extract their medicinal properties. The resulting liniment is then applied topically to bruises, sprains, strains, and other types of injuries.
One of the key benefits of Dit Da Jow is its ability to increase blood circulation. This helps to reduce swelling and inflammation, which are common symptoms of injuries. By improving circulation, Dit Da Jow can also help to speed up the healing process by delivering more oxygen and nutrients to the injured area.
Dit Da Jow is also believed to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to prevent infections and reduce the risk of complications. It’s commonly used by martial artists and athletes to treat injuries caused by training or competition, but it can also be used to treat everyday injuries like sprains, strains, and bruises.
In conclusion, Dit Da Jow is a natural remedy that has been used for centuries to relieve pain and promote healing. Whether you’re a martial artist, athlete, or simply looking for a natural alternative to pharmaceutical drugs, Dit Da Jow may be worth considering. Just be sure to use it safely and consult with a healthcare professional if you have any concerns.

What stops you from training martial arts online?
Time?
Difficulty?
Live Instruction?
Discipline?
There are few Kung Fu masters left that actually train practically. Thus learning martial arts online has really taken off. It allows you access to a real master who actually knows what they are talking about it. The downside is usually you don't have a training partner to train reaction to strikes or takedowns. But that shouldn't stop you, there is much more to learn and build your skill set. Then you can find a training partner and develop more.
So comment below, what is the real reason you don't train either online or in person.

"Eat the bitterness to taste the sweet"
This was one of Sifu Ah Sang's favorite sayings. It applies to Kung Fu training, your work, family, and life in general. You see, no one has a life without trial and tribulations. But without those hard times, how can you learn to appreciate the good times?
In Kung Fu (especially Monkey Kung Fu), we train hard, so hard that others rather call themselves master or grandmaster than actually put in years of hard work and dedication to achieve a high level and understanding of an art form. Low stances, constant leg training, hardstyle conditioning of arm, legs, and body. All of these methods are bitter. But after consistent and intense training, you begin to reap the rewards.
In life, we all go through bitterness as well. Losing a job, financial instability, death of a loved one, etc. All of these moments seem so difficult at the time. Then you are given a choice to sit down in defeat or to rise, eat the bitterness and move forward. Kung Fu is so much more than physical movements, our mindset grows and develops into an amazing tool for us.
So as you train, meditate, or go through life this week. Try and take a moment to eat the bitterness to taste the sweet.
Train safely and wisely,
Sifu
