Bahidorá’ is a joyful and mind-blowing sonic trip which distills the joy of a musical adventure in Mexico into 21 extraordinary songs that are perfect for our times. Featuring artists from four continents but with roots firmly planted in Mexico, it entwines rich musical traditions ranging from cumbia, hip-hop and kuduro through to soul, salsa and the sweetest pop.

Otim Alpha is more of a religious experience than a person, with a deep, haunting voice and delicate melodies played on the adungu and nganga instruments that he makes himself. He combines Acholi & Larakaraka (Ugandan traditional songs) with his out-of-this-world ‘Acholitronix’ polyrhythmic sounds that are made for a futuristic dancefloor. On the new Africa Express record, Otim sings, plays, and also raps about his experiences of music, love, life and hardships. A truly special musician - to know him is to love him.

Claiming political identity through her songs, @mare.advertencia's quickfire verses are amplified by a poignant and constantly evolving narrative of activism, often exploring gang violence & misogyny in her home country.
