Industry 4.0 Podcast Update
Hey everyone — due to the massive AWS outage affecting major platforms across the web today, we experienced technical issues that prevent us from streaming the Industry 4.0 Podcast with MaestroHub as planned.
We’re postponing today’s live show and will announce the new date and time soon.
We appreciate your patience and understanding — this conversation with Yasir Tuncer, CEO of MaestroHub, is one you won’t want to miss, and we’ll make sure it gets the spotlight it deserves once things stabilize.
Stay tuned here and on our LinkedIn for the updated schedule.

This is one for the Industry 4.0 history books.
Walker sits down with the Travis Cox — Chief Technology Evangelist at Inductive Automation — for a no-holds-barred conversation about the origins of Ignition, the wildest projects ever built, why ICC 2025 is the biggest and most important one yet, and yes… Travis’ secret life as a semi-pro bowler with 87 sanctioned 300 games.
We go deep into:
The early days of FactorySQL and FactoryPMI
How Inductive Automation stayed true to its mission for 20+ years
The MQTT moment that changed everything
The coolest Ignition projects ever (Jurassic Park animatronics? Check ✅)
Why ICC 2025 is “leveling up” in a massive way — new venue, bigger keynotes, Prove It in the Exhibit Hall, AI sessions, and more
ICC 2025 Dates: September 16-18, 2025 — Sacramento, CA
Get your tickets before August 17 for early-bird pricing: icc.inductiveautomation.com/
Book your hotel before August 25 for discounted rates
Whether you’re an integrator, engineer, architect, or just part of the Ignition community, this episode is packed with stories, insights, and a preview of the event you cannot miss this year.

A lot of younger engineers are freaking out over Agentic AI.
I cannot tell you the number of relatively newer engineers in my DMs asking for guidance on a career change.
My response?
Whoa - slow down bub... your job is safe, your career is safe... will it change? Sure... but that's a good thing.
So - you young folks out there - relax... work on your fluency with LLM, LRM and Agents -- and make no rash moves... there's a lot of change coming... and it will be for good. (But... I know a lot startups in the Agentic AI space who are developing 'solutions' that will be obsolete in a year).
The nail gun didn't replace the carpenter -- it just made the carpenter much, much faster.
And while Agents can reason - and deliver on objectives - they cannot innovate and they cannot engineer.
The nail gun has been invented for you - and it will make you faster - it isn't going to put the house up without you.
Paradigm shifts are happening - but not everything is a paradigm shift, sometimes it's just a better mousetrap.
So - learn LLMs and LRMs - how they work; Learn MCP and A2A - what they do; Work on taking a step back and asking yourself, 'what is the problem I'm trying to solve... and how can Agents help me?'
...and you'll begin to see the forest through the trees, and you'll start to understand just how many folks out there have exactly zero idea what they are talking about when it comes to Agentic AI...
...and for the love of all that is holy - please relax. 🙏
I'm shooting a bunch of content tomorrow for engineers and manufacturers - stay tuned

🚨 Community Update: Upholding Our Values 🚨
At 4.0 Solutions, we’ve always prided ourselves on creating a space where ideas can be freely shared, debated, and even challenged. We believe that open discourse is crucial for growth, and we welcome discussions that may even criticize our teachings or Walker’s character.
However, we must address a serious issue. Recently, a member of our community crossed the line by engaging in personal attacks, including veiled sexual slurs directed at another community member. This behavior goes against everything we stand for, and as a result, we have decided to ban this individual from our community.
We want to remind everyone that while we fully support open debate—even criticism—there is absolutely no place for personal attacks here. Our community is a safe space for everyone to exchange ideas without fear of being personally targeted.
Let’s continue to champion open, respectful communication and uphold the values that make our community a place where the best ideas can thrive.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
