Morgan Freeman was going to narrate, but he was busy... actually, I really would've liked Carl Sagan's 'voice' on this one.. shame, you're stuck with me, instead!
Having said that, it's not reeeeeaaallly about the multi-verse.. but it kinda 'is' ..it's actually all about 'how' the MPC4000 "Multi" works.. and m ore than that.. there's a little bit about the MPC universe.. and how it collided with Akai's Rack Sampler universe.. so, it's not far off!
This is something many have asked about.. and it really does need a good explanation all of its own.
I'd love to do a full 'deep dive' on the 4000.. but, in all honesty.. it'd be 10-15 hour long 'nerd-a-thon'.
Having said that, it IS my favourite MPC. So, rather than wait for a clear moment in my schedule to attack something that grandiose, instead, I'll just do a hundred smaller clips on it 🤓
It's time.. strap yourselves we're going to explore the core of the 4000's MULTI-VERSE 🚀
A little piano rendition / homage to the late great Ray Manzarek (of The Doors) over John & Robbie's original tape tracks .. plus the rain and thunder too!

How to pair MPCs with Akai Rack Samplers: A beginners guide
There are some older, but still popular Akai Samplers that don't really offer multi-timbrality as such, and then there are some that do! ..but, getting 2 Programs available at the same time can be a little bit of a trick, if you're unfamiliar with the OS.
For those with MPC4000, Z4, Z8, S5000 or S6000 Samplers.. here's a rather crude, but easy way of editing Programs & Multi's, in your Sampler, from your computer using AkSys!
