If youโre about to take the new SAP exam, here are some hard-earned insights that might save you a few headaches (and maybe a lost attempt ๐).
1๏ธโฃ Know your exam type: there are two โ โ๏ธ๐๐ฆ๐ ๐ก๐๐ ๐ต๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ด๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐กโ๏ธ and โ๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ต๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ด๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐กโ๏ธโ ๏ธ
Make sure you know which one applies to you. For the System-Based type, go through all exercises in your SAP Learning Journey โ theyโre truly helpful!
2๏ธโฃ Do NOT use incognito mode on your browser. It will cause system issues.
3๏ธโฃ Do NOT open other browsers, pages, or apps during the exam.
4๏ธโฃ You can now use two monitors and headsets โ a nice upgrade from the old format!
5๏ธโฃ No more ID verification โ your SAP ID handles that automatically.
6๏ธโฃ Once you book your exam, you can start only from the scheduled time (not earlier), and you have 24 hours to begin, but just 2โ3 hours to complete it once started.
7๏ธโฃ Unlike before, you donโt lose a credit if you skip the exam within the 24-hour window. You only lose an attempt if you actually start and fail.
8๏ธโฃ The system might take a while (5 min to even 2 hours!) to generate your exam environment โ patience is key.
9๏ธโฃ There are no proctors or live chats anymore. If something breaks, youโll need to open a support ticket.
๐ You should see your remaining time during the exam. If you donโt, thatโs a red flag โ report it!
And last but not least: the new system still has its quirks. I faced two major issues โ first, I couldnโt access the system, and later, I couldnโt close it. Frustrating, yesโฆ but the support team was responsive and supporting.
๐ก Be brave. Be calm. Stay patient.
