I started storm chasing in early December 2023 and started this YouTube channel in 2025, January. I have had a passion for storms and meteorology since 2019. ⚡️

Sand bagging stations are now available in Moreton bay - starting around 9-10pm tonight Brisbane is expected to get around 400mm of rain, this of course brings a flooding concern. Riverine flood watches are still in place in SEQLD. A new warning has been issued by the bom now for “Heavy to locally intense rainfall.” Stay safe and off roads I would recommend in the coming days. Remember, if it’s flooded FORGET IT. Cheers

Due to intense tropical moisture and a southeasterly change, rainfall is coming on Friday Saturday and Sunday for southeast Queensland with isolated falls up to 400mm+ (however the more broad rainfall totals are around 100-200mm of rain).
Minor and isolated moderate riverine flooding is possible along the following rivers:
Dawson and Don Rivers, Burnett river, Mary river, upper Brisbane river, lower Brisbane river, Logan and Albert Rivers, Condamine Rivers, and the Balonne River
A flood watch is in place in southeast Queensland starting Friday February 13th 2026. Stay updated and alert

The rainfall numbers will change alot but I will make this short and simple, rain for SEQLD is not certain as to how much will fall however it is fairly certain that we will enter a wet period starting on Friday Feb 13th. Things can and will change. Cheers

Exmouth WA watch out! Category 3 severe tropical cyclone Mitchell is heading at you! It is expected to make landfall as a category 3 cyclone and bring significant impacts. I will give an update on the SEQLD rainfall situation later today or tomorrow. Cheers.

Tropical cyclone Mitchell is likely to make landfall in Onslow WA as a severe category 3 cyclone. Areas from around Port Hedland to Ningaloo are under cyclone warning from the BOM. If you’re in these areas, STAY INFORMED. Cheers

Some pretty big HP squall line activity is possible in the red circle (NE NSW AND SE QLD) on Thursday February 12th. Things can and will change but this is getting more certain on the forecast. They’ll likely be heavy rain dumpers and damaging wind producers (like January 18th 2026 or November 14th 2025). I will keep you all updated. Cheers
