Last night I went to eat yakiniku.

食べ放題（たべほうだい）！お肉だけじゃなくて、ケーキやアイスも！
All-you-can-eat! Not just meat, but cakes and ice cream too!

「食べ放題」とは時間内だったら、食べられるだけ食べていいってことだね～！
"食べ放題" means you can eat as much as you want within the time limit!

幸せな時間でした。お肉さえあれば他に何もいらない♪♪♪
It was a happy time. As long as I have meat, I don't need anything else♪♪♪

日本では毎年年末に「M-1グランプリ」という漫才の大会があります。
In Japan, there is a manzai competition called “M-1 Grand Prix” at the end of every year.

漫才は、二人以上で行う日本のお笑いです。
ふつうは 二人で、ボケとツッコミに分かれて会話をします。
Manzai is a Japanese comedy style performed by two or more people,
but it is usually done by two.
One is the boke and the other is the tsukkomi.

昨日、その大会があり、盛り上がりました！
The competition was held yesterday and it was a lot of fun!

たくさん笑いました♪
I laughed a lot♪

日本のお笑い、大好き！
I love Japanese comedy!

少し風邪気味だったけど、薬を飲んで休んだら、元気になりました！
I had a slight cold, but after taking some medicine and resting, I felt much better!

薬ってすごいですね！ピタッと鼻水が止まりました。
Medicine is amazing! My runny nose stopped immediately.

寒いので、私の学生たちの中にも風邪をひいている人がいます。
It's cold, and some of my students have caught colds.

私もひどい風邪にならないように、外出するときはマスクをするようにしています！
I also try to wear a mask when I go out to avoid catching a bad cold!

Every year in Japan, the Kanji of the Year is announced at Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto.

今年の漢字は「熊」になりました。
This year's kanji is "くま（bear）".

全国各地で「熊」の被害が多かったからです。
This is because there have been many bear-related incidents across the country.

今まで熊が現れなかった場所にも熊が現れるようになってしまいました。
Bears have started appearing in places where they had never been seen before.

人と熊が仲良く生活できる環境になって欲しいです。
I hope that we can create an environment where people and bears can live together in harmony.

私たちはもっと自然について考えなければならないと思います。
I think we need to think more about nature.

Do you all have good eyesight?

私は小学生のときに目が悪くなり始めました。
My eyesight started to deteriorate when I was in elementary school.

中学生のときは、必要なときだけメガネをかけていました。
In middle school, I only wore glasses when necessary.

高校生のとき、コンタクトレンズをつけるようになりました。
When I was in high school, I started wearing contact lenses.

目がとても悪いので、コンタクトレンズがなかったら、何も見えません。
My eyes are so bad that without contact lenses I can't see anything.

コンタクトレンズのおかげで、いろいろなものが見えるようになっています！
Thanks to contact lenses, I can see all sorts of things!

外国に住んで初めて、自分の国「日本」のよさがわかりました。
It was only after living abroad that I realized how good my own country, Japan, is.

When I ask my students, "What is your favorite Japanese food?", many of them answer "Ramen."

私もラーメンが大好きです！
I also love ramen!

しょうゆラーメン、みそラーメン、塩ラーメン、とんこつラーメン…どのラーメンも大好きです！
Shoyu ramen, miso ramen, shio ramen, tonkotsu ramen...I love all kinds of ramen!
