Puck Locks have become a very popular choice when it comes to preventing trailer theft. One of the most popular brands is Proven Industries. However, some time ago, someone came up with a method to defeat the popular lock. Using an aluminum shim derived from a soda can, they were able to unlock these expensive locks. Unfortunately, they shared this hack with the world. Now a lot of folks have an expensive lock that can be defeated with a soda can. I was scrolling through news stories on my computer home page and I came across this photo. I recognized it immediately, I took the photo. It's a 1964 VW Beetle that we converted in 2020. The news article was about California tax incentives for EV conversions. Maybe we will use it for one of our Media Monday videos.
