We’re Mandy & Greg, two Aussies from Brisbane who did something a little crazy... we bought a home in Abruzzo, Italy, sight unseen, from photos on the internet!

In August 2026, we’ll finally see it in person, get the keys and discover exactly what we bought. Then comes making it our own, settling into Italian life and exploring the beautiful, lesser-known region of Abruzzo.

There’s just one complication... the Schengen 90/180-day rule! When our time is up, the Schengen Shuffle begins, taking us slow travelling until we can come home to Italy again.

We share life in Italy, our Italian home, learning the language, slow travel, food, local towns, real costs, cruises and whatever happens along the way.
