DIO Orchestra
The Daegu International Opera Orchestra is South Korea’s only orchestra dedicated to opera, composed of talented young artists and musicians who have studied abroad. As the resident orchestra of the prestigious Daegu Opera House, a leading opera venue in Asia, they perform over 10 operas annually and are responsible for all of the Opera House’s planned performances. As a social enterprise, they strive to promote regional cultural development, bring classical music closer to the public, and elevate opera to a level of prestige, accessibility, and global recognition. The orchestra remains committed to these goals through continuous effort and dedication.
