That is the end of my videos on the MTS orange line for now. Make sure you go to my playlist called, "MTS Orange Line Trolleys" to see what you missed. Also I will continue to keep you updated on what changes happen on the orange line tracks as the construction continues.

Here is the link to my playlist called, "MTS Orange Line Trolleys" where you will find all of the videos. www.youtube.com/playlist?list...

Starting on Friday, February 13, 2026, you will see just a few videos of some signals in the city of La Mesa again, but in a different spot and they will be on 70th street starting from University Ave.

Soon, that will lead to my videos of MTS trolleys on the green line tracks starting at the 70th street trolley station and going west through San Diego State University, Union Grantville, Snapdragon Stadium, Mission Valley, and ending near the Morena / Linda Vista Station where you will watch a driver intentionally destroy a crossing gate including two 4-car trolleys passing by at the same time. Some traffic signal videos will be mixed in here and there including more BEFORE & AFTER videos.

Make sure you follow me here and on Instagram so you don't miss out on more exciting videos.

San Diego Trains & Traffic Lights

It's the middle of winter in San Diego and it is currently 89 degrees🥵, then it will drop to the 40s at night 🥶.

Heatwaves during the winter here are so uncomfortable because your body can't adjust well to hot and cold on the same day and you can't sweat because the air is so dry, and it messes with our sinuses.🤧

Where are you rain? All of the green hills are going to turn brown again.

Say goodbye to the older MTS orange line railroad crossing signals that were already upgraded and worked great. They are off to Campo in San Diego county.

Here are my BEFORE & AFTER videos of the old railroad crossing signals in action and then the new ones in action.

It's 84 degrees in San Diego and not a cloud in the sky.

Several more days of this coming and no rain in sight.

If it stays like this, it could be the wettest, driest, and hottest winters we have in San Diego.

Can't stand polarized weather and no seasons. I prefer cold and rain like its supposed to be in San Diego.

Wow, way to get rid of an important crosswalk at Imperial Ave & I-805 South Caltrans. Now people have to walk all the way down the hilly street just to get to the other side to come back.
Here is my video I did on November 29, 2020 when this was still a crosswalk. https://youtu.be/BYx-Hpc05OE

San Diego Trains & Traffic Lights

I continue to keep my promise I made years ago to all of you that I would keep updating you regularly on the remaining worded neon walk/don't walk pedestrian lights in San Diego and here is my new update on January 25, 2026 with new pictures taken on January 21, 2026 below.

The very last worded neon pedestrian light at the intersection of Rosecrans St & Canon St has died after 40+ years of being in service and it has been replaced with an LED hand/man pedestrian light that just doesn't look like it belongs in there. Now that intersection has no more worded pedestrian signals and is all hand/man lights now. Big change from when I was a little kid in the 1990's when I saw four incandescent hand/man and four neon walk/don't walk pedestrian lights there. Check out my first two pictures to see the new pedestrian light.

At the intersection of Canon St & Talbot St, the four worded pedestrian lights there are still working and you can check out all of my new pictures of them below.

Now there are just four worded walk/don't walk neon pedestrian lights left in all of San Diego county and the intersection of Canon St & Talbot St is the very last intersection in all of San Diego county to have worded pedestrian signals. You will not find any worded pedestrian signal anywhere else but that intersection.

That is my update to you on the four remaining worded pedestrian signals. The next update will be sometime in the summer of 2026.

Here are my old videos I did a few years ago of these worded pedestrian signals in action.

San Diego Trains & Traffic Lights

Just saw the weirdest thing at the old town transit center.

A northbound freight train carrying mixed cars passed by around 8:45pm, and then another northbound freight train passed by just 5 minutes later carrying just one car.

Never seen that before. 🤨

Another image I took of the construction that was happening around the Euclid Avenue station this past weekend (Jan 17-18, 2026) related to the orange line upgrade.

Some tracks around here were being replaced with new tracks as far as I could see.

Also, just a reminder from my last related post that MTS is now in the process of replacing the older railroad crossing signals with new ones and its already happened at the first 3 crossings near Imperial Ave & Francis St, MT Hope Cemetary, and 43rd St & K St.

You will soon see my BEFORE & AFTER videos of those crossings so dont miss out.

Keep following me for more updates on what changed on the orange line tracks.

Take a look at the smallest crosswalk ever in San Diego at the intersection of Euclid Ave & Guymon St.

The crosswalk is only 5 feet long and the only purpose of it is because of this very small driveway from a house that can only fit one vehicle.

For signal fans, I'm sure you've always wanted to live at an intersection like this where you have your own traffic signal sensor in your driveway, two traffic signals facing only you and no one else, and a left arrow traffic light designed specifically for your driveway.

Pretty cool right.

Here are my two videos of some traffic signals at this intersection in action.

San Diego Trains & Traffic Lights

Got an update for you all on the MTS orange line upgrade for today on January 17, 2026.

Some railroad crossings on the orange line do have brand new railroad crossing signals.

Its only been 3 crossings so far and it is the first 3 just east of the 32nd & Commercial trolley station and they are located at Imperial Ave & Francis St, Mt Hope Cemetary, and 43rd St & K St. You will eventually see my BEFORE & AFTER videos of those railroad crossings so make sure you dont miss it.

The railroad signals east of there still havent been touched yet, but eventually will be and all of the old trolley signals are still there for now.

There is construction happening this weekend (Jan 17 & 18) on the orange line so there will be no orange line trolleys between the Courthouse station and Massachusetts Ave station.

The picture you see below is a little bit of the construction around the Euclid Avenue transit center.

Keep following me for more updates on the orange line upgrade.
