Tonight we take a look at a food spot that is run by two sisters and has taken the city by storm. The Tree Rooms is a vegan spot that is serving some unreal, tasty food. I popped in to see what the hype was all about. You can watch the review tonight a 6:08pm.
Absolutely chuffed to bits after seeing this sign board in Blackburn. The town has become like a second home to me and I’m so proud to ‘hanging about ‘ on Whalley Range on the corner of perhaps the best kebab shop I’ve ever tried.
Tomorrow at 7:07pm, I visit a true old-school curry hut tucked away in an industrial estate in Team Valley, Gateshead. This isn’t your modern, flashy takeaway – this place feels like it’s been frozen in time, with a real 1970s–1980s curry house atmosphere. One small room, big flavours, and even bigger heart.
The chef here has been in the takeaway game for over 40 years. He lives, breathes, and sleeps cooking – this isn’t just a job, it’s pure passion. The food he’s been serving the local community for decades is, without doubt, some of the best you’ll find in the North East.
From proper curries to kebabs, samosas, burgers, and doner, this place does it all. On top of that, everything is made fresh – naans, chapatis, rotis, and now even fresh parathas, which he’s just started doing. Simple, honest food made the right way.
A very popular spot, a hidden gem, and a reminder that sometimes the best takeaways don’t need fancy interiors – just experience, consistency, and love for the craft.
If you’re into real food, real stories, and proper old-school takeaways, this one’s for you.
In our next episode we visit an award winning deli, however during our review I did experience a brief issue outside the shop when a lady from a neighbouring business was rude and attempted to interrupt. I chose to ignore the negativity and continue, because this place and its food deserved full focus. The review will be available Sunday 11th at 6:08pm on youtube.com/@t.f.t?si=RMNrOfpTMaZHOg0r
