🦋 April 30th is the last day of Butterflies in the Garden at the @FWBG (Fort Worth Botanic Garden)
🌸 I spent time there as part of my artist date practice, letting the beauty of the space feed my creativity and sense of wonder.
✨ The butterflies floating freely through the conservatory felt like tiny messengers of change, color, and renewal.
🌿 It was one of those simple, beautiful experiences that stay with you long after you leave.

Still reflecting on the @4wordwomen Executive Women for Christ (EW4C) gala and brunch at Dallas Country Club. 💛
Hearing Navolia Bryant at the brunch and Tracey Newell at the gala gave me so much to sit with. The message that stayed with me most was how important it is to understand the season you’re in and not try to escape it before it has done its work.
I am forever grateful to Navolia Bryant for the invitation to these events and for my first chance to serve on a nonprofit board over ten years ago. The seed from that experience has empowered me in many ways.
✨ A few key lessons that stuck with me:
🙏 Embrace the season you’re in instead of trying to run from it.
💼 Your assignment is bigger than your job title.
⏰ Timing is just as important as opportunity.
📍 Where you are now is not by accident.
💛 Don’t separate your faith from your ambitions; weave it into everything you do.
🎙️ Leadership and character are loudest when you're offstage.
🌱 Clarity often follows obedience.
🤲 Divine alignment requires releasing control and trusting God’s plan.
The daisy we received felt like such a beautiful reminder too 🌼 We may be planted in different seasons. Some seasons may feel tough. Still, we are called to grow. We are called to bring beauty. Over time, that planting can lead to divine alignment.
One reminder I’m holding onto: God is not late.
He is purposeful.
A question I’m still pondering: Are you embracing the season you’re in, or trying to escape it?

🎉 Birthday vibes at the bookstore 📚
Yesterday, on April 6, I got to spend part of my birthday @baldwinandco and it felt so special.
Being home in New Orleans with family and friends has been a beautiful reset for me. Coming back to the people and places I love always brings me back to center.
James Baldwin’s life and work continue to inspire me. He was an extraordinary writer and civil rights activist.
As I continue serving as an AI SME Coach on a team developing a legacy tool for a civil rights museum, I keep thinking about the power of legacy work.
It matters to preserve stories, truth, and impact for future generations.
Grateful for another year, another moment to reflect, and another reminder that meaningful work matters.

It was simple, hands-on, and grounding.
