2026 is the new 2016! Im all in!
IG have been flooded with the 2016 throwback trend, and it made me realise that 10 years ago I also had a whole collection of unforgettable memories. Thanks to this trend, all my Jeddah memories came rushing back, and I had to pull out my laptop just to sit and look through old photos again.

In just one year, so many things happened: deciding to get braces, undergoing fibroid surgery, and starting paperwork for migrating to another country. There was also that trip where I insisted on going to Bahrain to eat pork, even though it fell right in Ramadan, when everyone was fasting from morning till night 😅
For the first time in my life, I raised two cats (since dogs aren’t common in Saudi because they’re considered noisy), and most unexpectedly, my little gold nugget Carley appeared. All of these became such bright milestones in my life — and sitting here now, I realise how lucky I was with those decisions, because they led me to who I am today.

I hope 2026 will bring back memories as meaningful as 2016 once again 😅
