Unfiltered truth: ✅ Knowing who NOT to enroll in your online courses is just as important as knowing who to enroll in your programs.


A major part of creating a successful course is qualifying your students before they enroll.


Here are some of the most common red flags I've heard since starting my course business + my responses:


🚩 What if no one buys my program?

✅ People are buying things every day. Would you rather they buy from you or someone else?


🚩 How much time am I going to have to commit to doing this every week?

✅ How bad do you really want it?


🚩 That's a lot of money.

✅ Money is supposed to flow in and out. Is what you're currently spending your money on making you more money?


🚩 I have to talk to my spouse.

✅ They didn't already know you had this goal?


🚩What if it doesn't work?

✅ Why doubt yourself before you start?


The clients I work with are confident in their abilities and work ethic before we begin.

The real reason students don’t connect with most course content:

It lacks emotional depth.

Trying to create a course based on fact-telling is one of the fastest ways to lose student engagement.

And what happens when students aren’t engaged?

They drop the course.

They never finish, and it’s a lose/lose.

They don’t get the results they wanted.
You don’t get referrals or repeat clients.

Yikes.

But, there’s an easy fix:

Connect your content to the emotions of the lesson.

Don’t just give us the information…This is where you spill the tea!

We want details.

What were you wearing? What were the smells?? How did you feel? Girl, what were you thinking in that moment?!

But seriously, your course is an opportunity to connect with your students and help them go deeper in overcoming some of their biggest challenges without having to worry about making the same mistakes.

Remember the feeling we had as kids when we wished we could sit at the adult table? Tap into that!

Your students are ready and eager for more. Stop tiptoeing around them and give them what they signed up for.
