YouTube has conveyed that my thoughts, opinions, jokes, support of Ukraine, desire for democracy, and correction of misinformation by offering truth... is no longer welcome on their platform.
They've effectively taken away my voice via the automated removal of OVER HALF of my daily comments, all thanks to their moderation algorithm. I have repeatedly contacted support and it has only resulted in it cracking down even harder; once limited to my comments on the Ukraine war, has spread to joking replies even on comedic channels!
So, as of Feb 14, 2024 I will no longer comment. I am dead inside.

Aurora Borealis - Nov 11, 2025 Eastern Tennessee (USA) - Samsung S23 Ultra propped up at roughly a 45Β°, camera app in "Pro" mode.
[NOTE: this is completely invisible to the naked eye, unfortunately]
Photo 1 - looking roughly W/NW

I found this one particularly interesting because it seems like had I been further South it wouldn't be visible, as the Aurora's "terminator" (for lack of a better word) is DAMN NEAR above me! π
Photo 2 - looking roughly N/NW

Reality Check photo (a baseline), to show it's indeed Aurora and not just camera/app nonsense.

NOT using Pro mode, but instead using the "Night" mode.
I took a couple of these initially and thought it was just the app making up colors, due to the "AI processing" (or whatever it does). It's happened before, where there's big blotches of compression artifacts and non-Aurora colors, so I figured that's all of was. Thankfully I looked at what the Pro mode's exposure times offered since Night only gives 10sec max, whereas Pro goes up to 30sec!
That's when I went back out and played with more settings (thus the better ones above). Exposure of 30s at ISO 50 was just a black sky, at ISO 3200 it was WAY too bright and washed out (lacking contrast), and ISO 1600 was still a bit too bright. However, ISO 800 was ππ but the exposure time was still a bit much, dropping it back to 15 was borderline perfect. If there's was individual choices between 15 and 30 seconds I might've gone for 20, but 15 was more than sufficient βΊοΈ
Photo 6 - ~80Β° angled towards North
Here's said ISO 3200 and 30sec (50MP)... Basically looks like sunset! lol

I was today years old when I discovered the band "Igorrr" and HOO-BOY! (a good "hoo boy", but also a surprised one!)
This is their very new song "ADHD", which musically speaking, fits very well since there's little to focus on.
https://youtu.be/TGIvO4eh190
However, it's the combined audio-visual experience that brings me here. The group who made the video, MEATDEPT., has done something almost magical. This might be the first AI-assisted video I applaud because it's very well done in terms of quality, but I'm mainly sharing it because the ONLY thing I could think of the entire time was:
"Is this what LSD is like?
I feel like this is definitely how
tripping on LSD would be like..."
π€£
In terms of music, though, it's awesome in that sense as well. Or at least so long as you like avant-garde/experimental stuff. I've yet to dive into their body of work to know how many fall into the category of "Yea, I can relax/work/drive to this", but I'm sure there's plenty.
Enjoy... or don't... But at least give the video a watch!

Micro-wildflowers that grow in my yard (E. TN). There's even *smaller* ones, if you can believe it, and are about 1/2 the size of these. I think I missed them blooming though.
Unfortunately neither one come anywhere close the world's smallest, which are a whole bunch of aquatic ones (in the duckweed family)... However, THOSE don't look like flowers, lacking petals like we layman would normally associate a flower to be, so I say they're cheating! π

- = Music For Me and You! = -
Once upon a time I randomly looked at someone's profile and found music in a playlist which I liked... Now when I'm listening to something I like, I'll occasionally look at commenter's profile in the hopes they too might have playlists with music.
Since I've had luck discovering new artists and songs this way, I decided to "Pay-It-Forward" by collecting music I like into a playlist of my own, for you all to discover something new!
Like I've said in that playlist's description, it's an unorganized collection of stuff which reflects what I typically listen to; however, my tastes are more eclectic than the Electronic or Metal/Rock it contains, I just haven't added them.
I've now made that playlist Public!
youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0...
Although I hope to _*eventually*_ create others which are organized so that you don't have to doom-scroll 200+ songs and relying on only the thumbnail and video title in terms of whether you might like it. π₯΄
For now, that unorganized mess will have to do!
(it is currently sorted by Date Added; if you'd rather it be by name, let me know and I can change it)
The purpose of this Community Post is so that if you find you have music that's similar to my tastes, or even if it's just something you really like, you have an easy way to suggest it to me! π
Thanks, and enjoy! π»
