60 Minutes Australia

60 Minutes Australia was first broadcast in February 1979. Founding reporters Ray Martin, George Negus and Ian Leslie quickly established the show as the destination for the finest television journalism.

Today, 45 years later, 60 Minutes remains Australia's leading current affairs program. Award winning correspondents Tara Brown, Amelia Adams, Adam Hegarty, Dimity Clancey and Nick McKenzie investigate, analyse and uncover the issues affecting all Australians.

British authorities have brought new charges against Russell Brand, in addition to similar charges brought against the controversial comedian in April involving four women.

The new charges - one count of rape and one of sexual assault - were in relation to two further women over alleged offences that occurred in 2009.

Brand is expected to appear in court on January 20 in relation to the two new charges brought against him. A trial has also been scheduled for June next year.

Explosive email exchanges between Epstein co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell and a person using the pseudonym "The Invisible Man" signing off as "A" have been published by the United States Justice Department as part of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

The emails appear to relate to Maxwell's friendship with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, where "A" talks about a certain Balmoral Summer Camp for the Royal Family in 2001; and Maxwell discussing the then-prince's trip to Peru in 2002.

Donald Trump's Justice Department has released the first batch of the long-awaited files on Jeffrey Epstein.

The release include some photographs, call logs, grand jury testimony and documents collected in relation to investigations into the convicted sex offender.

Several photos in the first roll-out feature Bill Clinton: showing the former president in a hot tub with a woman, and posing with Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Mick Jagger and Chris Tucker. Clinton has never been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and the mere inclusion of someone's name or images in files from the investigation does not imply otherwise.

The batch of images also have one with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor lying on top of five people, and another with Jeffrey Epstein holding a cake that appears to be shaped like breasts.

The released files include a small number of photos of Trump which appear to have been in the public domain for decades.

The Justice Department defended not releasing the entirety of the Epstein files despite the 30-day deadline specified under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, saying the department is working through redacting information about the victims, and that several hundred thousand documents will be published in the coming weeks.

The latest release of documents from Jeffrey Epstein's estate include close-up photos of excerpts from Lolita, the 1955 novel by Vladimir Nabokov about a man's grooming of a young girl, scribbled across parts of an unidentified woman's body.

The US House Committee on Oversight made 68 images available to the public, a day before the US Justice Department is required by law to release unclassified files from its investigation of the convicted sex offender.

Photos from the latest batch also include Epstein surrounded by women; part of a text thread; prescription medicine typically used to relieve urinary tract infections; famous figures known to have ties with Epstein; passports and IDs of women from Russia, Morocco, Italy, Czech Republic, South Africa, Ukraine and Lithuania; and a US passport page showing the sex offence identification statement - as required by US law in correspondence to the International Megan's Law.

New plaques have been installed along the controversial "Presidential Walk of Fame" in the White House containing biographical write-ups of every US president that held office.

The text, placed beneath the leader's portrait, reads like commentary and appears to take jabs at Donald Trump's known political foes, with descriptions like "Sleepy Joe Biden", Barack Obama as "one of the most divisive political figures in American History", and Bill Clinton's wife who "lost the Presidency to President Donald J. Trump!".

Meanwhile, Ronald Reagan's plaque ends with: "He was a fan of President Donald J. Trump long before President Trump's Historic run for the White House. Likewise, President Trump was a fan of his!"

Thousands gathered at Bondi Beach to pay tribute to the victims of the horrific terror attack.

Australia is still reeling a day after two gunmen opened fire on a Jewish celebration held at the popular beach on a packed Sunday night.

In the 24 hours since the massacre, the death toll rose to 15, including 10-year-old Matilda Bee Britvan and 87-year-old Holocaust survivor Alex Kleytman.

One of the gunmen was shot by police at the scene and died, while the other remains in custody in a critical condition.

A new set of photos have been released from Jeffrey Epstein's estate showing powerful and famous figures in the late sex trafficker's orbit.

Several of those identified in the photos have been previously linked to Epstein, including Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Steve Bannon, Woody Allen, Alan Dershowitz and Larry Summers.

None of the images in this latest release depict sexual misconduct. But a number of people with previous ties to Epstein are now under scrutiny.
