Establish the dominion of Jesus

Jeremiah 51:20 Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;

Jesus taught us to pray "Thy kingdom come..." (Matt. 6:10). This lets us know that one of the major roles of the church on earth is to establish the kingdom of God in the lives of men.

However, this will not happen easily without a fight. The kingdom of darkness has representatives that help promote the culture of sin and darkness.

They are well established in the systems and structures of man's existence. In politics, entertainment, academics, science, etc. sponsored by the "god of this world." 1John 4:4

You are God's battle axe!!! You are armed with supernatural weapons to pull down the structures of darkness. (2Cor 10:4,5) Weapons like prayer, fasting, obeying the Word and walking in the Spirit.

We are God's weapons of war. We neutralize the works of the kingdom of darkness, and because of us God's kingdom reigns!

The Lord is coming soon - Be Patient and diligent

James 5:7-8 NLT

[7] Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen.

[8] You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.

The coming of the Lord is near. There are 3 attitudes from the above the Scripture that God wants us to have ahead of His coming. The first is patience. This has to do with waiting for Him with confident expectation and excited hope.

The second attitude is discernment. He said the farmer waits for the rains and then follows the harvest. The rains signify revivals or moves of the Spirit. We must understand the purpose of the moves of the Spirit in these last days and participate in them.

Lastly, we must be diligent to harvest souls. In waiting for the Lord, we do not just fold our hands and wait. We prepare for His coming by harvesting "the precious fruit of the earth" James 5:7 (KJV). We must be very busy and effective winning souls for Christ in these last days.

These are the 3 ways for us to keep ourselves ready for the soon coming of our Lord Jesus. Hallelujah!!

HOW TEMPTATION HAPPENS

To be tempted means to have a strong urge to do something wrong. By its definition you can tell God won't give you such an urge.

The devil is the tempter, but that's only half truth. The devil tempts us when we invite him by the wrong and selfish desires we encourage in our hearts. He suggests more ideas on how to make your wrong desires come true.

We have a choice whether to encourage wrong desires in our hearts or to purify our hearts. We purify our hearts by replacing the wrong desires and suggestions with godly ones.

God's Word is the main source of godly thoughts and desires that make us live pure lives and overcome temptations when they come.

"So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls." James 1:21
