Today is World Autism Awareness Day - but we live it every day. This year, CDC reports that approximately 1 in 36 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Nowadays, everyone knows someone on the Spectrum.
Five years ago today, our “family-with-autism” launched our YouTube channel: Picking Up the Pieces of Us. It was meant to connect with other families like us with an adventurous approach to having a life worth living. In 5 years, we’ve traveled the 48 states, gone up the highest buildings, canoed river rapids, tried crazy food, driven go-carts, surfed, gone to huge concerts, and even played in our own rock band. We are not done! The easiest way to support us is to subscribe to our YouTube channel. Watch and share whatever is important to you. Thank you for an amazing 5 years. We can’t wait to show you what’s next!
