Well, this week I FINALLY got around to ordering a new pair of Searcher gloves from the lovely team at LP Metal Detecting !

I know, I know...you've all been ribbing me about my old ones wearing out for ages 😅

A few people have been asking me about channel memberships.

YouTube channels can offer membership perks for a small monthly subscription.

I haven't turned this feature on to date but would be happy explore it if there was interest.

Let me know if you'd be interested in becoming a D-Tekt Sussex channel member on YouTube. Perks would be fairly simple like early access to videos, custom emojis for comments etc.

No commitment here...just gauging interest 😊👍

Important message.

The D-Tekt Sussex YouTube channel has grown beyond my wildest expectations over the past 5 years and I'm so happy to be able to share my detecting adventures with you all.

In fact, I've been stopped in the street a few times by local subscribers who have recognised me and I'm always happy to meet you and chat where possible.

Having said that, earlier this week a gentleman saying he was one of my subscribers approached my wife in the street while she was walking alone.

They were polite and nothing untoward occurred, however the experience shook her up a bit.

A woman walking alone being directly approached by a man she doesn't know, however well-meaning the intention, is not OK.

So please, by all means come and say hi to me at events or if you see me out and about, but DO NOT approach my wife or anyone else I'm connected with who doesn't appear on the channel.

If this is something that continues I WILL DELETE THE CHANNEL.
