Where the Love Is, Inc. (WTLI) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization founded in 2013 and is based in Connecticut. We are dedicated to aid in the prevention of abuse and cruelty to animals by promoting the adoption of abandoned and unwanted pets, and to provide those pets with medical attention, including spaying and neutering. The pets we rescue are often neglected, abused, sick and starving. We ensure all pets are fed, fully vetted, receive love and some training before they are adopted out

Hey wonderful dog lovers local to us (Hamden, CT). We got word this dog was found tied to a pole in New Haven, with this note attached. Her name is Cali! She's wonderful! She is currently with the wonderful human who picked her up, but she cannot keep her. If anyone is able to foster, or wants to adopt this lovely lady, please contact us!

We got word that a this wonderful dog Cody is in need of a home! He was adopted out from another rescue, and that rescue is full, and cannot take him back. Cody is a wonderful guy looking for a new forever home! Due to circumstances beyond his control, he’s in desperate need. Cody has been living in a home and is house-trained. Clear the Shelters Month wraps up today! This Tuesday we put out a video highlighting the 17 dogs we had go to homes, and the dogs we still have with us at the rescue. Since then we had 2 more dogs go to their forever homes! Buddy (the senior Lab) and Juan (the toy Poodle) have found their new families!!! We also had Chico (the third dog in this post) go from a foster to their forever home! We rounded out this month with 19 dogs leaving our shelters (plus a few from fosters)!!! It was a great month! But we still have a few more dogs that need homes! WheretheLoveIs.org

Today's video wraps up the 2024 WTLI Shelter Olympics! BUT there will be coverage from NBC Connecticut airing tonight at 7pm, and again in the morning and evening on Friday! Please check us out there and let them know you love it! We hope you enjoyed watching these wonderful pups vie for the gold (although they didn't need to try to win gold in our hearts!
