Take a look inside our PCB quality control lab, where every board is tested before it ever reaches a customer.
In this video, we cover two critical quality checks:
π§ Peel & Pull Tester β measures the bond strength between copper traces and the PCB base, ensuring circuits don't lift or peel under stress, vibration, or heat.
π¬ Microsection Analysis β we cut a cross-section of the PCB and examine it under a microscope to verify copper plating thickness, via/hole quality, layer alignment, and solder joint integrity.
Want to go deeper on why copper plating thickness matters and what a proper report should include? Read our full breakdown here:

At Sulakshana Circuits, we've been meeting high-quality PCB manufacturing needs for over 30 years. Every batch is tested at every stage β not just at the end.

IATF CERTIFICATE
π Certified. Verified. Trusted.
Weβre proud to announce that Sulakshana Circuits Limited is officially certified to IATF 16949:2016!
This major milestone was awarded by Indian Register Quality Systems (IRQS) Indian Register Quality Systems (IRQS) IATF, a division of IRCLASS Systems and Solutions Limited.
π Certificate Details:
Β· Certificate No: IRQS/260500710
Β· IATF Certificate No: 0603463
Β· IATF USI Code: PGFTHC
Β· Certification Scope: Manufacture of Single Sided, Double Sided and Multi-Layer Printed Circuit Boards
Β· Valid: May 06, 2026 β May 05, 2029
This isnβt just a certificate on our wall β itβs a formal validation of the quality management system we run every single day on our production floor in Hyderabad. π www.sclpcb.com
Why this matters to you: IATF 16949 is the global benchmark for quality management in the automotive supply chain, built entirely around one idea: zero defects, driven by continual improvement. In sectors like automotive, aerospace, and medical devices, there's no margin for error. A single faulty PCB can mean a failed EV battery management system or worse. This certification is designed to eliminate that risk before the board leaves our facility. [1]
What this means for our partners:
β Independently verified quality processes (not self-reported claims)
β Lower in-process defect rates by design
β A manufacturing partner built for automotive-grade reliability β from prototype to volume production About Us - Sulakshana Circuits Limited
Want to see how we implement IATF 16949's core tools on the shop floor? We broke it down in detail IATF 16949 Certification for PCB Manufacturing | SCL.
Looking for a PCB partner that treats quality as a system, not an afterthought? Let's visit Sulakshana Circuits Limited.

Every PCB fabricator's datasheet claims the copper thickness meets spec. Very few can hand you a lab report that actually proves it.
For engineers qualifying a new fabricator, or teams building for medical, automotive, aerospace, or defence applications β that gap between "claimed" and "verified" is exactly where field failures start.
Here's what a proper copper plating thickness report should confirm, per IPC-6012:
β Barrel (hole wall) copper thickness β measured at multiple points, not just one β Knee thickness β the corner most prone to failure under thermal cycling β Annular ring width β confirming registration accuracy β Micrograph images β actual cross-section photos, not just numbers on a spreadsheet β Full traceability β coupon location, panel/lot reference, and IPC Class
IPC-6012 Class 2 requires a minimum average of 20 Β΅m copper in the plated through-hole wall. Class 3 (aerospace, medical, defence) requires 25 Β΅m β with tighter uniformity around the knee and annular ring.
None of this shows up on a flying probe test, AOI, or visual inspection. Microsectioning is the only way to get objective, measurable proof.
At Sulakshana Circuits, in-house cross-section and copper plating thickness verification is a standard part of our quality control β not an optional add-on. If you're qualifying a new supplier or running a high-reliability build, this is one of the cheapest reliability checks you can run before scaling production.
Have a project that needs documented proof, not just a spec sheet? Let's talk β www.sclpcb.com
