I'm BAAAACCKKK!! I took a break from the YouTube grind over the past few months as I revamped my business. It was the BEST thing I did! My following is growing faster than before.

While I was gone from YouTube, I took the time to really reflect on my core message, how I want to serve and how I can best do that. I feel so great about what I have planned!

I posted a video about why I took a break and what happened. My first video in months and it is NOT getting views! But it's ok. I didn't expect it to because it didn't follow the "rules" to optimize the video. I just wanted to speak from the heart.

I know this is a process and I'm committed to getting back on the saddle. I don't expect a ton of views after being gone for so long!

I recently hit two HUGE milestones on YouTube:

📈 800 subscribers
⏱️ 1,000 watch hours

If you know YouTube, you know you need 1,000 subs and 4,000 watch hours to start getting paid (aka “monetized”).

So yes, I’ve still got a ways to go!

But here’s what’s wild:

👉 I haven’t uploaded a new long-form video in months.
👉 Yet my channel keeps growing — hundreds of new subs and new views and dozens of comments.

And it’s all because of ONE video.

Not a high-production episode.
Not a trendy viral short.
Just one simple teaching video — me, talking to the camera about something I know best: how to talk to a camera.

That one piece of content continues to attract new views, dozens of comments, and new subscribers every single week.

There's even a wrong slide in the video and I had to issue a correction!

It’s proof that your message doesn’t need to be perfect.

It just needs to connect.

But here’s where it gets really exciting:

If one simple video can create that kind of traction, imagine what happens when you drive that attention to a strategic brand video that sells your story around the clock.

That’s what I call a Sizzle Reel: your 1-2-minute “movie trailer” for your business that shows who you are, what you do, and why you’re the one to work with.

But I don’t always follow it myself.

Not because it doesn’t work.
Not because I don’t believe in it.

But because, like you, I’m human.

WOW!!! 400 amazing people have subscribed so far. Just two weeks ago, I was at 250.

This is proof that with the right strategy, you can quickly and steadily grow on YouTube without going viral. I don’t aim for vanity metrics (barely any of my videos ever even crack 1k views yet!). It’s all about focusing on my viewers’ questions, needs and goals and letting it happen naturally - however long it takes.

Grateful for you all and can’t wait to bring you even more amazing content in 2025!!!
