Throwback to last year when i popped my AC joint out, then rode up to Avoriaz the next day one handed on the road bike. Top tip = take a road bike as backup on a mtb trip ☺️
Hell of a kit test this one. 4 days to the West Loop of Slovenia. Day 2 was an extra Loop up the Mangart and Vrsic pass. 7500m of climbing in the legs in. Absolute bike breaker. Specifics on test: 1. TRP Vistar 2. Tailfin 3. Schwalbe tyres 4. Lots of other bike packing gear.
A few breakages so far, but we keep rolling. Send my knees some ibuprofen.
So its official, Shimano wireless is coming road. Ok, not official. But XTR has just gone wireless, will road follow suit? Hopefully. No more faulty 12 speed di2 batteries! 🔋
Busy testing A LOT of kit lately in this prolonged spring of good high pressure weather. Goosyn Ti-Kevlar spoked wheels, Yoeleo wheels, framework frame and seatpost, bags from Merit. The geo of the framework i went for is working well. High stack, steep seat, 165 cranks a very low BB make me feel like a Pog. But at 94kg… need to lose some weight but that weight is useful for showing up issues with stuff. Stay tuned.
