This week's episode of American Origin Stories will post tomorrow Nov 1st in honor of "Native American Heritage Month!" Can't wait to share it with you - such an inspiring story with a lot of amazing Americans. Next week I'll go back to Mondays.

There have been a few comments on the first few episodes from people who are confused about the purpose of this series - who somehow think sharing our real history is "America bashing" or meant to inspire feelings of shame. Quite the opposite.

Our mythological origins are a major cause of America’s identity crisis. Along with an empire built on the backs of a brutal caste system was the promise of a nation with liberty and justice for all.
The dream of a moral, multicultural America, that shares basic human values, has so many worthy founders, role models and freedom fighters.

This series tells their stories, that we might respect, honor and carry on their mission: facing and repairing past evils for the love of our descendants, that we may not only survive, but thrive.
When looking at these histories if you're feeling a sense of shame, or that you're being personally attacked... start identifying with the heroes. They can be your heroes too.
