Written Words Christmas chill-out...
Written Words HQ has had a busy year in 2023, creating 30 lesson videos with worksheets, and lots of shorter, additional videos, too. The summer was filled with literature festivals and the publication of 'A Month of Writing Ideas', and there has been a lot of writing and translating going on behind the scenes, with one large project now complete (details coming soon), and two others well underway. We have explored written words of all kinds, from fiction to non-fiction, poetry to prose, and classics to contemporary writing, with grammar tips, writing prompts, readings and outings, and yet we have still barely scratched the surface of the English language and its literature!
Over the next couple of weeks, I will be slowing down a little, to enjoy Christmas and New Year, catch up with family and friends, and recharge my linguistic batteries before rolling up my sleeves and launching into 2024. There will be a few shorter, seasonal videos in the meantime, but I will be taking a break from the full-length lessons during the festive period.
Meanwhile, as I read, write and plan new material for the new year, any feedback on the existing content would be most welcome. Is there anything you particularly enjoyed and would like to see more of? Which parts did you find less interesting? Is there something not yet covered which you would like to explore? Do you prefer the language or the literature content, or a mixture of both?
Sending the very best seasonal good wishes to you all.
Happy reading and writing!
Helen
