2nd Annual Pot Luck Apero Beach Party


Just a reminder, the deadline to RSVP for our 2nd Annual “Postcards From Our Golden Years SUBSCRIBER Pot Luck Apero Beach Party” (on Saturday May 30 at 6pm- till sunset), on the beach, here in Nice, France, is in a few days on the 25 of May.


If you’re interested in attending, a reminder, you must actually be a “subscriber” to our YouTube channel (not just someone who follows us and watches the videos). So, if you’re interested in attending, please go to our YouTube channel main page and make sure you’re actually “subscribed” (it’s always FREE to subscribe) and then get back to me and RSVP with the number of people (spouses and significant others are welcome) attending including yourself.



When you RSVP, if you haven’t already done so, please let me know what you’ll be bringing to share with everyone for our “Pot Luck” Apero. Finger foods and/or things cut up so people can eat them with their hands/fingers are best. We’re already set with chips and dip. We could use more “savory” or “charcuterie” type foods and/or more hors d’oeuvres type finger foods


As a reminder, if you’re bringing something people need utensils to eat, please be sure to bring utensils/small plates, napkins, etc. (and a trash bag to help with cleanup)


Also, don’t forget to bring whatever you plan to drink, cooler, cups, etc, and a blanket or chairs to sit on.


The number of attendees is limited and we’re getting close to the limit we have set, so if you want to attend, please RSVP asap.

Postcards From Our Golden Years

COMING THIS MONTH!!! "OUR 2ND ANNUAL POT LUCK APERO BEACH PARTY"
FOR OUR SUBSCRIBERS ONLY (FREE SUBSCRIBERS AS WELL AS PAID SUBSCRIBERS)

LAST YEAR, we had our very first annual "Postcards From Our Golden Years - "Pot Luck Apero Beach Party" on the beach, here in Nice, France.

We invited all of our personal friends and acquaintances to join us. You should know--every one of our personal friends, here in Nice, started as a "subscriber" to our YouTube channel, "Postcards From Our Golden Years".

We had a fabulous turn out. Our new friends met our other new friends and made new friends, here in Nice. It grew what was originally our little "friend circle" into a large friend circle that has continued to grow over the year.



THIS year, we're going to do the "Pot Luck APERO Beach Party" once again, on Saturday, May 30th at 6:30/20:30 (Rain date: Saturday, June 6th) till Sunset (Sunset is at 9:04/21:04).



This year, we're opening the invitation list to ALL of our YouTube channel "SUBSCRIBERS" who would like to attend, even if you're not yet one of our personal friends. This is a great way for us to meet and become friends!

THE DETAILS -

There is NO COST to attend, however, you must bring an "appetizer type covered dish" (something you'd serve at cocktail time or "happy hour" and your favorite drink (for you)



Casual dress. (Bathing suits optional. Last year no one went swimming)



FIRST, if you want to attend, you MUST RSVP by email (postcardsfrommygoldenyears@gmail.com) no later than May 25, 2026, and provide your name, the total number of people attending with you (spouse/significant other, etc), your Whatsapp info and email address info.and let me know what dish you'll be bringing to share.

Attendance will be limited. (We WILL NOT have a "private" section of beach prearranged. Once we have the final count, we'll see which beach area will work for the group to gather on) And, I won't provide the exact location of the party until the very last minute. It will be communicated by email or Whatsapp. (No last minute party crashers, sorry)



*Everyone who attends must agree to bring an "Apero type dish" (appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, etc) to share with others and whatever they want to drink (including paper plates, silverware, cups, napkins). Be sure to bring a cooler/cooler paks/ice if your dish or beverages need to be kept cool out in the hot sunshine. And bring a large trash bag (to help us all clean up our party trash before we leave the beach).



You will also need to bring a big blanket to spread out or beach chairs. Last year, most of us sat on lots of big blankets we connected together into one huge blanket. If you have a beach umbrella, you may want to bring that as well. Last year, it was quite sunny and warm.
