On Matt-Mechanic I do a variety of automotive DIY repairs as well as tool reviews, repairs & modifications. I may even throw in some repairs on miscellaneous projects around the house. My videos are intended to be as detailed as possible, with as many tips and tricks I can think of to make your next DIY project, go as smooth as possible. Buckle up, because some of them are LONG!

I've done DIY maintenance on mine and others vehicles for the past 20+yrs. I formerly worked in an automotive shop, as well as an Aircraft Mechanic for about 15yr. Later transitioning into various areas of engineering, including; Aircraft Weight and Balance, Stress, Structural Design, Manufacturing Engineering and eventually leaving aerospace to work in the electrical utility word as a consulting engineer for heavy underground electrical distribution.

I also enjoy training and mentoring others that are interested in learning mechanical and electrical systems.

🚨 We just hit 350 subscribers!

To say I’m amazed is an understatement. I started posting consistently in February, just hoping to help people fix things and maybe share a few tips I’ve learned over the years. The fact that over 350 of you have decided to hit that subscribe button blows me away.

I’m especially grateful this isn’t “shorts fluff” — you all are watching the full videos, asking great questions, and even jumping into the comments with your own experience. That’s what makes this worth it.

More helpful DIY videos are coming — including some bigger repairs, deeper diagnostics, and ways to save serious money on real-world auto issues.

Thank you for being part of this garage. Slow and steady wins the race — and we’re just getting warmed up. 🔧🔥

Let me know what kind of video you’d like to see next!
