Hey quick update on a few things and one of those is the Evo Awards! 1) So this year the Evo Awards it looks like yall get to vote in who gets nominated for the year. Last year they did best content creator and I wasn't nominated(which stung a bit, not gonna lie) but this year I could potentially get on the ballot if yall vote me in for it so if you got a second to spare and if you are willing, I certainly wouldn't oppose if ya head to evo.gg/awards and toss my name in the hat for best content creator.

Besides that I was just thinking about how much is going down next year and its gonna be another "FGC eating really good year" - Invincible VS - Avatar Fighters - Marvel Tokon - New seasons for Fatal Fury, SF6, Tekken. Fatal Fury will prob be fun whatever it is, Tekken ideally helps right the boat and get them back on track, and for SF6 I just hope they finally get a bit adventurous as it feels like they are scared to change the game lol. ***edit*** yes 2XKO and GG strive 2.0 too I forgot thanks for reminding me lol - Lots of great indie titles and prob things im forgetting to even mention (remind me in comments)
Just lots of great things going on so im sure ill have more appropriate holiday posts before year end but its gonna be cool and I am looking forward to it all and hope you are too!
Bunch of stuff + new gon with the wind! 1) The Game Awards is Tomorrow! Surely lots of interesting things going on in games (im hearing new Tomb Raider? Its been a long time im excited for that) and hopefully more than a few interesting things for the FGC as well! Naturally ill be covering everything that matters here on the channel and make sure to tune into the Rooflemonger twitch channel to watch along. I'll be starting at roughly 6pm'ish EST before the show starts and then we will just watch along with the whole event
2) Since recent streams are starting again I know the complaints on why not stream on youtube. Basically long story short I just don't wanna mess up anything on the algorithm for this channel cause its like 95% of my income. Don't rock the boat as it were. However sometime in the new year ill figure out how to dual stream to the rooflemonger clips channel as that channel basically just exists for fun and if I stream some weird 90s FMV game that 5 people watch thats perfectly fine. So make sure to sub to that clips channel and ill announce it properly when thats ready.
3) Speaking of the clips channel, New Gon with the Wind is NOW LIVE! @baberuthless and myself review eps 129-136 of Hunter x Hunter and we finally finish the Chimera Ant arc! Adult gon going full Akuma mode I now have context for and the whole stuff is pretty neat and its crazy we are finally in the final stretch of the show. Links below for that

To think we are actually nearing the end of the show after all this time, crazy stuff! After 20+ eps of just buildup its nice to finally get to the climax of the chimera ant arc.

Time for another channel update why not! Things been a bit slower on the channel lately cause this is just a slower time of the year for what we do and cover here. We got Mr Big releasing soon and ill have something for him, and The Game Awards will certainly have some fun fighting game stuff (pls vf6) but keeping the slower pace in mind ive been prepping a lot of "standalone" vids where ill just sorta talk about whatever, just some non-game specific fighting game topics I find interesting. Those kinda vids take a lot longer to make than normal vids but there isn't much else going on so expect some of those throughout december!
Also pretty soon there will be a not-fighting game vid on the channel and no its not Yakuza related this time so when that drops why not check it out. Always sorta scary to leave the normal comfort zone of fighting games(although there is a small fighting game link/reasoning in the video) but please give a watch why not!? I always think one day ill slowly introduce more non-fighting game coverage although if that ever happens fighting games will always be the primary focus of the channel but its nice to spice things up every now and then.
I finished up the Dispatch playthrough on twitch and ill post that in a few days on the Rooflemonger clips channel. I apparently made some non-standard choices like PUTTING THAT BUM BAT IN JAIL WHERE HE BELONGS so yall might find that interesting. Actually a fantastic game though and I highly recommend it. That's about it off the top of my head, I know in the USA thanksgiving just wrapped up(We had our thanksgiving in Canada a whiles back) but ill say im thankful to everyone who keeps watching on the channel here all around the world. Quick update: Been a good long while so its time to get some streaming going again. I just got into the Invincible vs closed Alpha so Sat-Sunday ill be streaming that around 7pm~ EST for both days. I will also be streaming along every day for the mixed Avatar/Marvel Tokon beta days as well from Dec 5th through 7th. I will play both but probably avatar a bit more just cause I have been lucky enough to play Tokon already vs Avatar will be all new to me.
In-between week?(nov 24-29) Screw it lets finally try out dispatch. Heard only good things about it.I have no idea how long it is but i can commit to play through the entirety of it (as long as it isn't 40+ hours lol).
Then week after is the Game awards on Dec 11th so we will be streaming that too! And maybe some other one off streams around that time.
I know I am the worlds most unreliable streamer, but I figure since so much is going on nows a good as time as any to try it out again.

Anyways there will be a 2XKO patch on the 18th and theres nerfs for Yasuo/Ekko/Teemo, I smelled them Teemo nerfs coming so im glad I didn't commit to that guide right away after getting sick the first time cause I hate guides that cant stand the test of time/become out of date quickly. When that patch goes live ill have a full breakdown no worries
Tomorrow chun drops for Fatal Fury if theres anything fun there ill make a vid, gameplay wise shes basically what I described in the one video but theres potential for some very interesting lore drops like with the Ken DLC.

Working on that promised Dead or Alive vid, couldn't get it live for today. Tomorrow? Well we got something else planned for then which I can't talk about yet...(EMBARGO'S FOLKS!) and then the SNK world championships also start today too so who knows what will even be announced throughout the weekend. So ill prob post that DoA vid on Monday or Tuesday probably(*edit* this week anyways, i got sick again lol). Its the absolute worst thing to post some big vid ive spent a lot of time working on then there is news real quick, and then I post that news vid a few hours after and it usually kills the vid before it in the algorithm, sorta want to avoid that lol.
Don't know what SNK has planned but they always got something is the safe bet given how they've been working the last few years, so whatever happens at the SNK world championships if its news worthy ill cover it. Lots of people speculating on the new art of fighting showing? who knows.
Also for Gon with the Wind fans @baberuthless is currently live on site at the SNK world championships as well (and entered in the 100k Art of Fighting 3 tournament) so expect a full trip report of that on the next podcast when she gets back.
After thats all settled and done? Who knows? A potentially slower time ahead for fighting games a bit other than the Invincible and Avatar closed Alphas. Invincible closed alpha will run from November 21st through 24th, and Avatar who even knows? I have an understanding itll be before the end of the year but thats about it. If things get really slow on the news front ill prob do a bunch of random vids about various aspects of FG history like that Yoda vid, gotta do something to fill the time lol.

Update time, first off HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
