so I understand why people don’t like the character of Rey and that’s fine, you don’t have to like her, but when you hate the character so much to the point where you hate on the people who do like her, that’s just mean.
Rey will always be my favorite character and also my comfort character. Yes, her story is messy and not the most thought out, but her CHARACTER is where I see myself and can relate to. She’s not a Mary sue…she make mistakes and alot of them….and there have been many other characters who have done the things she gets hate for and pay no attention to it.
I was 8 yrs old when the force awakens came out. I was never a huge fan of the movies but had seen them cause my dad and brother were fans. My dad and brother saw tfa in theaters but I didn’t cause at the time I just didn’t care. It came out on digital a couple months later when I watched it for the first time….and when Rey’s story was shown on screen and explored….i instantly saw myself in her and instantly she became my favorite. And to this day she still is.
She has flaws she deals with through the series in which I related to and made me realize I wasn’t alone. No matter which way, if she was a nobody, or related to Palpatine, I still related to her character. And no one can ever tell me that my opinion is invalid…..no matter how much hate she gets. I looked up to her as a kid, and still do to this day.
She helped teach me things about myself I never knew and is a huge part of why I am the way I am today.
Star Wars I’m general has inspired me so much. It made me realized I wanted to be a filmmaker…..and that I could do it. It taught me lessons and I invested so much time into the stories and characters. It will always be so important to me.
so yeah there’s my giant rant lol. I’m just tired of all the hate. It’s disgusting but ironically at the same time it make me love the series and the character of Rey more.

Y’alI I finished Stellarlune and it was SO GOOD!! Probably my new fav in the series!! (jk they’re all my fav!!🤭) Anyway, now have to wait another year for the next one to come out so…..🫠
If your wondering what the series is its called Keeper of the Lost Cities and its one of my fav series of all time….its literally is so good and I HIGHLY recommend this series!! (Don’t let the size and amount of books scare you!!)
