A local railfan originally from Overland Park, KS, I enjoy watching and chasing trains, videography/photography, and a combination of the two! This channel was created to whet your appetite for the hobby of railfanning, so please enjoy these videos! I will be making more, and I do strive to improve on videography/photography/content production as I gain experience.

If you're interesting in getting to know me or have business questions, please email me! I am a social butterfly so don't hesitate to say hi!

Next project I'm working on: Kansas State Fair train video.

It will take some time to be posted to YouTube due to issues concerning audio. Consequently, it'll take me some time to research, learn, and figure out how to fix it. But for now, I'll be posting any other train content that I film. Other than the State Fair video, I don't have any long documentary-style videos I'm working on or planning out at the moment.

Thank you for your patience!

Hello all! Just wanted to share a few things with you.

First, I will be updating my channel handle to a less-restrictive name. When I made the channel, I was trying to think of a spot I like to railfan at. As you can probably tell by my content, I don't railfan there too often. Because I'm not trying to limit the train videos or channel to a singular location, the name change will help with recognition and allow me to not be contained to a certain area. FarmerFan is the handle I go by on a lot of different platforms, so it just makes more sense to have a unified, recognizable name. I will make a reply post to this one if my email address changes as well.

Second, there is a video for ATSF (OMRX) 93's move east out of Newton in the works, but it will likely take a good chunk of time to edit. It will also have some narration, as well as the new video intro being worked on (this will probably take the longest to edit).

Thank you all for reading this, and I hope to see you trackside!

If you guys can figure out what this is, let me know in the comments of this post. From my recent video; the object is located on the railroad right-of-way west of Partridge, KS at the Centennial Road crossing.

I'm thinking it could have been the base of an old semaphore signal, but I'm not sure.

Poll #2 6/27/2025

Should I do narration for the upcoming UP 6706/MOW/Others video?

Poll #1 6/27/2025

I have a lot of footage from today's railfanning trip to see 6706. There are three categories I can split the footage into. There are also three options as to which video type you would like to see. Please vote for which option you think is best. Need your opinions before I begin the editing process.

I've been getting a lot of requests that I make an intro for my videos. I'd love to hear your thoughts, both on the poll and in the comments!
