The Tortoise and the Hare

Once upon a time, there was a speedy Hare who loved to brag about how fast he was. Every day, he would tease the slow Tortoise, “You are so slow! You’ll never win a race!”

One day, the Tortoise got tired of the Hare’s teasing and calmly said, “Let’s have a race.”

The Hare laughed loudly. “This will be easy!” he said.

The race began. The Hare sprinted far ahead, but halfway through, he felt sleepy. “I have plenty of time to rest,” he thought, and he lay down for a nap.

Meanwhile, the Tortoise kept moving slowly but steadily, step by step. He didn’t stop, didn’t rush, but kept going.

When the Hare woke up, he ran as fast as he could, but it was too late. The Tortoise had already crossed the finish line!

Everyone cheered for the Tortoise. The Hare felt ashamed but learned an important lesson.

Moral: Slow and steady wins the race

✨ The Poor Woodcutter and the Golden Tree ✨
Once upon a time, there lived a poor woodcutter in a small village.
He was honest and hardworking. Every day, he went deep into the forest to cut wood and earn money for his family.
One day, while cutting a tree near the river, his old iron axe slipped from his hands and fell into the deep water.
He sat down and began to cry because it was his only way to earn bread.
Suddenly, the river sparkled with golden light.
A magical fairy appeared and asked kindly,
“Why are you crying?”
The woodcutter replied honestly,
“My only axe fell into the river. Without it, I cannot feed my family.”
The fairy dived into the water and came back with a golden axe.
“Is this yours?” she asked.
The woodcutter shook his head.
“No, mine was old and made of iron.”
She returned with a silver axe.
Again he said, “No, mine was simple and old.”
Finally, she brought his old iron axe.
The woodcutter’s face lit up.
“Yes! That is mine.”
The fairy smiled brightly and said,
“Because you are honest and truthful, I reward you with all three axes.”
The woodcutter returned home happily.
Though he became rich, he never forgot his honesty.
🌟 Moral:
Honesty is always rewarded.
