I just posted a video opening fan mail, but I have a pile of even more fan mail that I’ve received since recording this! If you sent me something recently, I’ll be holding a livestream to open your mail soon (details to be announced).

Yet another successful D-Day Ohio in the books! The displays and battles at this re-enactment were outstanding as usual, but my interactions with the other reenactors and spectators who attend the event is what really made it so special for me. I got to catch up with many old friends, made plenty of new friends (including so many of you who follow me on social media and came by to say hello), and I even had the pleasure of talking to a WWII veteran who kindly shared some of his stories from the war with me. I represented a rifleman in the 16th Regiment of the 1st Infantry Division again this year, and I’ll be sharing the first battle reenactment video from the event later this week. Can’t wait to be back next year!
We had a lot of fun on liberty at the Troops in Town event last weekend, but the shore patrol was out and about keeping us in check and making sure we didn’t have TOO much fun (thankfully, they didn’t lock me up for long). Not every day that I get to pull up to a bar in a WWII LCVP, although I sure wish I could do that every weekend!
I figured it would be nice to have another place for all of us to nerd out about WWII stuff together, so grab your fedoras and join the new World War Wisdom subreddit! www.reddit.com/r/WorldWarWisdom/s/RNXhOQFVeG
First USMC re-enactment event in the books ✅ This weekend, I represented B/1/4 on Okinawa at the Troops in Town event in Celina, Ohio. The 100% humidity and constant downpours weren’t ideal for a public event, but they really set the scene for a PTO reenactment. I’ll have plenty more photos and videos from the event coming soon! Huge thank you to everyone who helped organize this awesome event, and to all the other USMC reenactors who welcomed me into the group and made this such a fun and memorable weekend! I also want to thank At the Front for helping to get me set up with this USMC equipment and Hudson Louie for taking these amazing photos.
Do you know what Dwight Eisenhower’s favorite war movie was? Well neither did I until I watched this new video from ‪@ReelHistory‬. Go check it out!
