Qigong is a practice of heart (your true inner self on a spiritual, emotional, and psychological level), it's a way of life. Healing comes from the proper and honest alignment of the body, mind, and heart. In other words, “healing” is a natural by-product when your body, mind, and heart align. The slow movements you will learn combined with the Qigong breathing method, along with meditation and energy harvesting will produce measurable results. Once you learn Qigong and practice it as a discipline -- your life will never be the same.

I reject the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu myth that 9 out of 10 real fights end up as chest-to-chest struggle on the ground. That's not true for millions of us who grew up in "the hood" or urban areas.
The only reason a fight ended up on the ground is if you got knocked out or fell down accidentally in which as you did your utmost to get back up on your feet as quickly as possible. This truth is a basic rule of survival in the hood.
I am a Black man who grew up in the unforgiving streets of St. Louis Missouri during the 1970's and 80s. Whether you know it or not, St. Louis still holds the record as the most violent city in America. Simply fact check me.
I've also lived in Chicago, San Diego and Washington DC. I've been in gang fights, I've jumped by gangs, and for years did work as a bouncer in nightclubs 'in-the-hood'. Real fights were an everyday occurrence. Based on over years of living in America (not Brazil), I cannot accept a truth for Brazil as my reality.
In real street fights, three things happened that Gracie Jiu-Jitsu does tell you about nor do they prepare you to deal with;
1. Your enemy on the street has homies. The Gracies forgot to tell you that there are always two or three thugs waiting to join the fight. You're gonna' get blindsided probably won't even see it coming. This is why you better know how to quickly end a fight standing up on your feet.
2. Never take the fight to the ground. Never. The last place you want to be is on your back looking up. The Gracie's forgot to tell you that once you end up on your back, the only way to successfully perform a submission technique requires that you first get your body and your opponent in the proper position. Also, the principles of a proper grip and leverage come into play with ground-fighting. Failure to do the techniques right could end in disaster.
The moment you fall down, go down and let your back hit the ground that's a dinner bell to your enemy. An alarm goes off in the mind of your enemy that you've fallen, lost control, collapsed and the opportunity to finish you off is now.
