Building the steps to a better future:
In a bid to delve into the creativity of future inventors, YMCA Madras conducted the 'Science Expo- 2023'. The 1st round was on 3rd August 2023 where out of 100 online applications, 35 schools were shortlisted for the next round. Our smart thinkers of Union Christian Public School from classes 6- 10 were a part of the selected few. They created more than 18 working models based on the topic, ' Sustainable Development '. The final round was conducted on 11th August 2023 at the YMCA Auditorium, Vepery. The chief guest for the day was Mr.Eshwaran Deputy commissioner of Police , Pulianthope branch.UCPS built their way as the winners of this prestigious event. The tremendous support of the parents and the constant motivation of teachers paved the way for our school to this stage. As our students lifted the trophy, their sweat of hardwork and efforts turned to smiles of success.

6th ANNUAL SENIOR SPORTS MEET 2023-24
The 6th Annual Senior Sports Meet of Union Christian Public School was conducted on the 7th of July, 2023 at Rajarathinam Stadium. The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. G. Augustine Paul Sudhakar, Addl. Deputy Commissioner of Police who graced the occasion with our Secretary, Mr Vinod Simon, Correspondent, Mrs Elizabeth George and principal, Mrs Nisha Anil John. The event solemnly started with a prayer, after which our beloved Principal mam shared a few words to the ecstatic audience followed by March past. The four houses had their very own thought-provoking and relevant theme that they depicted through their march past with their mascots, dressed in dashing and dazzling apparel, accessories and many more. The Aqua house urged to save marine life, featuring two endangered marine species, leatherback turtle and dugong. The Aura house brought up the importance of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, a day that portrays the sheer valiance and bravery of our Soldiers and Army Personnel of the Indian Armed Forces. The Terra house focused on encouraging people to join together to preserve and cherish the world for a brighter future. The Ignis house stressed on the noble act of saving tigers, and prevent them from poaching and other inhumane activities hindering its existence.The Chief Guest addressed the gathering. He briefed the students on the importance of sports, and how it was the one-stop solution to all of one’s problems. He encouraged students to participate in sports and stay fit. We had a plethora of captivating cultural performances like silambam, yoga and karate performances by students of class VI to VIII ,Zumba and cricket drill by students of class IX to XI. The final round of a few track events were held then. Then came the time that was much awaited by all, the prize distribution. The Terra house won the overall trophy, and the Ignis house bagged the overall runner up trophy. The Aqua house won the trophy for the Best Disciplined House. The Aura house bagged the trophy for Best Cheering House, and also won a special mention for the Best Theme for March Past. The Sports Meet concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by our School Pupil Leader.

6th ANNUAL JUNIOR SPORTS MEET 2023-24

On the bright sunny morning of the 5th of July, the students of the primary school of UCPS gathered in the grand Rajarathinam Stadium to participate in their much-anticipated Sports Day. Gracing the occasion was the esteemed Chief Guest, Lt. Col. Dr Samuel Premkumar along with our Secretary, Mr Vinod Simon, Correspondent, Mrs Elizabeth George and principal, Mrs Nisha Anil John. The chief guest officially declared the 6th Annual Junior Sports Meet open, who then addressed the gathering.The stadium reverberated with the cheers and chants as the participants set off to participate in various events,which includes the grand G20 parade, celebrating the proud moment for India as it stands as the Head for the G20 summit, demonstrated by the students of classes 1 and 2. Then came 75m race for classes 3, 4 and 5 which livened the atmosphere on the ground. A special yoga performance was demonstrated. Individual Championship and overall trophies were given. Aura house emerged as the overall champions

Career Counselling Program by IIT Professors:
A Career Counselling Session was conducted for the students of classes 9 -12 by the Professors of IIT Madras on 27th June 2023.Our Principal Mrs. Nisha Anil John welcomed the speakers. The Professors briefed the students about the new courses introduced in IIT campus which includes B.S Degree in Data Science and Electronics and also explained the criterion required for admission in IIT campus. The seminar concluded with an interactive session of the students with the speakers.
