Hey, everyone, mostly my Streamer friends.

I believe that there are one or more streamers that are raiding other streamers and they have Youtube bots on their channel. I do not know if they know this or not, but that is not good for a channel, especially to pass them onto another streamer. I do not believe they have done this on purpose, at least I hope they wouldn't.

However, I have turned off my redirect so that people cannot raid me. I have set it up so those I know for sure that do not have the bots, can still raid me if they choose to do so. I will not be raiding anyone for a while until this hopefully dies down. It's a shame it's come to this.

How can you tell if your channel has Bots? When you're streaming and you have thousands of people supposedly viewing your stream but you have very little likes and not a ton of people chatting, those are most likely Bots.

This is not a good thing for your channel. While it makes you feel as though you have a lot of people watching and potential to get more subscribers, they are most likely Bots and will only hurt your channel.

What can you do? Don't raid to other streamers if you notice more than normal amount of viewers but not many likes or people while streaming, especially if they were brought by someone raiding you. Turn off your redirect for a while, go to Settings>Customization>Community Moderation>User Management. Unchecked all channels can redirect to my content and channels I subscribe to can redirect to my content. In order to do the 2nd one you have to change your privacy settings and change it that your subscriptions are private.

It's not difficult to do and I believe that after a while, the bots will go away. However, if you know a streamer that is raiding you that you can see your view numbers go up significantly while streaming, politely get with them or unsub from them, if needed. I know that sounds harsh, but it's for the good of your channel and others.

Please know, I'm only bringing this to people attention to help everyone, including my own channel.
