D&D storytime - start of our campaign So at the start of our campaign, my character was literally just a scam artist. He was pretending to be this priest of Lathander called Artal the Golden Healer, making money by selling fake holy water to rich people, drinking like a sailor, and staying over for the night, if you know what I mean.
Meanwhile, Kynae? Dude literally woke up from a mass grave. No memories, no name, and somehow de-aged to a twelve-year-old. Some random villager tried asking who he was, threw out the name "Endaris," and he was like "sure, that works."
They met on the streets of Flan while my guy was in the middle of his usual scam. He spotted Endaris - all beat up, scared, completely lost - and for the first time in forever, he actually felt bad for someone.
Then the guards showed up, 'cause apparently you can't just preach in the streets without permission. So my character grabbed Endaris and bolted straight to a tavern.
And who's sitting there in the dark corner? A rogue. Who'd end up joining the party real soon.
Quick sketch about our D&D party. Sometimes first impressions just stick with you. Morax joined us later, when our party was working undercover and we needed someone who knew the city. So my character decided to intimidate the new guy a little bit. Fun fact: In the past Morax had a different style, maybe a little bit too flashy. You can check out his progress in style at @makotodraws99 page
Three years they were torn apart. Each believed the other lost to the world - gone, as though swallowed by the earth itself. And in that long silence, both wove plans of vengeance, alone with their grief…
Until fate, cruel and kind, pulled them back into one another's orbit. Only then did they understand: they were never two souls walking separate paths. They were each other's entire world.
One had fled the city, stumbling through failure and bad luck, clawing his way toward becoming a cleric of Tymora. The other rose from the ashes of rebellion, a Champion of Raven Queen. In the end, they brought justice down upon those who had wronged them. Not apart. Together. And after that day? They never let go again.
Last but not least member of our party - Morax Bauglir played by @makotodraws99 During his first meeting with the party, he tried to sneak out some of the loot inside his boot but got caught. One scammer recognized another — that's how they became friends.
Another member of our party - Kynae Ruanis played by @qyunian
Our in-game meeting was hilarious: while my character was scamming people by selling fake holy water in a homemade robe of Lathander, Kynae literally crawled out of a grave with amnesia and regressed to a childlike state. Fortunately, my character really loves children (he grew up in an orphanage), so he decided to help without expecting anything in return. That's how they met, and six months later, they found out their mothers were best friends ❤️
Meet my first and favorite D&D character: Vincent Rua.
A half-elf with Sea Elf heritage, a young Cleric of the Trickery Domain. He worships Tymora, the Goddess of Luck. Recently, he has also become a Bard of the College of Glamour, which suits him very well. He's cheerful, lively, cunning, and reckless. Against all odds, his crazy ideas usually succeed.
Fun facts: he consistently rolls a 4 on Intelligence checks, so he's the mood-maker of the party. We always joke that there's a reason he's blonde. He compensates with high perception; thanks to his sharp eyesight and hearing, ambushes are often avoided. He rarely scores critical hits in combat (probably why he's a healer and support), but he frequently crits in social encounters.
He used to have light brown hair, but after successfully casting Divine Intervention (rolling a 1 on the d100), it turned permanently golden.
