Hey guys, so reading you loud and clear on the AI art used in thumbnails. I'll be ensuring that I use stock images, free domain, and working directly with artists going forward.

Just FYI, I am personally torn on AI images and AI art. On one hand, I get that the images are created from existing art from other artists. That AI isn't really "creating," as it were, like a sentient being, and so many see it as theft. I truly get that, and there is probably something to this argument.

On the other hand, I don't think AI is going anywhere, in fact the world is embracing it more than ever, and I also see the point that technically it has created something unique, drawing from other images much like someone would with regard to fair use.

One point I do agree on though, whole heartedly, is the problem of AI creating a whole lot of really low quality stuff here on YouTube (AI Slop). I won't lie, I have experimented with it a bit myself in my free time, but I came to the conclusion a while ago that my voice would always remain my voice, that is, I have chosen to read every single story I source from online or through direct email. That personal touch remains important to me as I am sure it does for you too. I hope that this reassures many of you, as I saw many expressing concern for an overall direction toward automation through AI.

I can see that this is really impacting some of us here, and the last thing I want to do is lose you guys to something I can happily change. In fact, I already lean in the direction of a lot of people on the AI issue. So, again, just to be clear, I will no longer use AI for my thumbnails, at least until something is worked out where artists are compensated or something.

Please do me a favour, if you appreciate what I am doing here, make it known by watching and sharing my content to help me grow. And also, not just me, but also those who are doing the same, as it's becoming more and more difficult to compete with those who do use AI. Please, support the creators you love and who are with you on this issue by sharing them far and wide, watching their videos in full, liking, subscribing, and just doing all that you can. It's more important than ever to do this right now as it seems to be the only way to really combat "AI slop" and with initiating overall change.

Going to be trying something a little different this week. Found some interesting cases, not very well known, that I am going to narrate for you guys in third person. Almost like an investigative journalist, think unsolved mysteries sort of vibe. Still cozy, still the same style you have come to love, but some well verified cases with some effort put into the details of the unresolved cases that I hope you guys find as intersting as I did.

Working on them now and hoping you're all going to enjoy a slight change of pace.

It has been amazing to be able to be the voice of so many, and I recieve so many comments from people thanking me too for how I help them to relax, sleep, and to be entertained at night. Hey guys, so would love a favour if you have a minute or two.

I noticed since the start of this year that my videos are no longer making it out to people that love my content. In fact, I have had multiple people comment on this. It’s not normal at all and seems like there is an actual problem.

YouTube only seems to do anything if there is enough public pressure.

I wrote to YouTube on my Twitter or X account, would you guys mind heading over, liking, and sharing some comments, particularly if your not receiving my videos either on your home page or in the suggested bar.

This is impacting the potential longevity of this channel, so if you enjoy the videos here I would highly recommend you go to the link below and share your concerns. Hopefully together we can get someone to take this seriously and have a look.

Hey guys, so just to keep you posted, I just recently discovered that when Youtube brought their new automated ad system in on the back end of channels that they also added a crap ton of ads onto my existing videos. I'm sorry about this, I was only recently made aware of it after seeing some people complaining about it.

I normally get those types of complaints here and then, but with only 4 ads per video I tend to ignore them. But it was way more than normal so I went to take a look, and it looks like there are like 30 to 40 ads per video... Thanks YouTube!

So bear with me, I need to go back and manually reset everything. Going to take me a bit. I'll work on the most recent ones first for you guys. Should have those done quickly. As for the rest, that could take me a couple of weeks in between everything to fix up.

Again, apologise for this, I had no idea this happened, and I will be fixing it so you guys can go back to the normal experience of having a few ads at the start of each video and then being able to kick back and enjoy uninterrupted.

So a couple of things. I’m going to try a little membership test this week where I make the video available a little early for members. It will be available normal time for everyone else, so no worries if you’re not a member. Just would like to test the feature out and see how it goes.
