Is your child actually ready for school? 🎒
It’s not just about knowing the alphabet, reading, or counting.
School readiness also includes social confidence, independence, communication, emotional skills, and basic motor skills.
The good news? You don’t need hours of worksheets or stressful “school prep.”
You can build these skills through everyday moments:
✨ Let them dress themselves
✨ Ask them to follow simple instructions
✨ Practise opening lunchboxes and bottles
✨ Read together and talk about the story
✨ Play games that teach turn-taking and listening
Swipe through for 5 important school-readiness indicators and simple ways to practise them at home.

The first week back at school can take more out of your child than you realise. 🏫💛
New teachers. New routines. New expectations. New social situations.
Instead of trying to make everything perfect, focus on a few small anchors that help your child feel safe and supported:
🌅 Make mornings predictable
👋 Keep goodbyes short and reassuring
🥪 Give them time to decompress after school
💬 Use low-pressure questions
😴 Protect their sleep
You don’t need a perfect first week. Small, consistent actions can make a big difference.
Which one will you try this week? 👇

The first week of school is more than just new uniforms, new classrooms and new teachers. 🏫💙
It’s also an opportunity to help your child’s teacher understand the little things that make your child *your child.*
A new baby at home.
A sensitivity to noise.
The way they behave when overwhelmed.
The things that make them light up.
You don’t need to share everything. But the right information, shared early, can help teachers understand your child and support them more effectively.
And remember: communication works best as a partnership—not a blame game. 🤝

Back-to-school prep doesn’t have to mean one giant shopping trip and a last-minute panic. 🎒😅
Before September arrives, take it one little action at a time:
👕 Check what still fits
🧺 Wash and label what you’re keeping
🛍️ Buy only the essentials
🎒 Create a simple launchpad for school gear
And don’t forget the independence piece! Let your child practise opening their lunchbox, putting on their shoes and finding their own things before the first morning.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s making the transition into the new school year feel a little smoother for everyone. 💙
📌 Save this for your school uniform prep.
📤 Share it with another parent getting ready for September.

🌙 Gradually reset sleep and daily routines
❤️ Remind them of the things that aren’t changing

Could apricots be a great addition to your child’s diet? 🍑
Fresh apricots provide nutrients including vitamin A, vitamin C, fiber and potassium, which can support healthy vision, immunity, digestion and normal muscle function.
But there’s one safety detail every parent and caregiver needs to know:
🚨 Never give children apricot pits or kernels.
The hard pit can pose a choking or obstruction risk, while the kernel inside can contain amygdalin, which can release cyanide when chewed or digested.
The simple rule? Remove the pit completely and serve only the soft fruit flesh

Holidays are meant to be fun—not exhausting. ☀️
One of the biggest mistakes parents make is abandoning every routine the moment school breaks up.
The truth? Children don’t need a rigid schedule, but they do need a few consistent anchors.
Keeping bedtime, balanced meals, family boundaries, and screen-time limits relatively consistent helps reduce meltdowns, supports emotional regulation, and makes the transition back to school much smoother.
Remember: structure isn’t the opposite of freedom—it creates it.
💙 Which routine do you find hardest to keep during the holidays?
