Good day to you all and happy pride month! This is a sizeable post re: where my mind is at with this channel and my reshuffling of available videos.
I'm still very much active across the internet and occasionally come back when the odd video is in my prospects, but I think enough time has passed that I want to confirm that -
A. I'm branching out and exploring. B. Video essays / this channel are no longer my main focus / priority.
YouTube is super interesting because you're watching not just the content of videos in of themselves, but you're witnessing a broader narrative of how a creator develops over the course of their life, and while it's not a perfect or airtight video (and I may return infrequently if I get a creative spark for something), I'm content with my Project SEKAI video potentially being the last "big video" I ever make, because at least when it comes to video games, it functions perfectly as an "arc ender", where I officially said just about everything I'd ever want to say about the medium. I could in theory cover other games, but I'd just be applying the same points in a different context, and I've got new things I'm delighted to redirect my energy to, most notably, I've gone to uni at the ripe age of 26 to get a bachelor's degree and I've been taking singing lessons to help me on my musical journey (You can find my covers on @JOEZCafe , which I'll be getting back to making soon ~).
All of that said, this has been a labour of love for almost 9 years, and while I may not always like or agree with the attitudes and decisions of my younger self, this was nonetheless an avenue of pure joy, and it wouldn't be fair to erase my efforts in an attempt to appear as perfect as possible, so I've bit the bullet and made *almost* all of my videos public again for your viewing pleasure — enjoy going down memory lane!
