As someone who was raised by very traditional parents, I was definitely not rescued. I learned pretty quickly that I had to figure things out if they went south. I know I hated it when I was young, but as I think back to it all as an adult now, I am so incredibly thankful my parents didn't run to my rescue all the time when I was young. What kind of environment did YOU grow up in?

As someone who has been a single mom most of my life, this one hits home. The education is needed for all you parents out there just trying to do your best in this tough and sometimes really hateful world.
