Incomparable, dense, limpide, sonore et lumineux, né d'une boule de feu et du souffle des hommes, le cristal selon Saint-Louis vibre de tout le talent hérité de l'histoire et de l'incroyable fantaisie créative inspirée par l'air du temps.
En 1767, près de deux siècles après sa création, le roi Louis XV confère par lettres patentes à la verrerie de Müntzthal le titre de « Verrerie royale de Saint-Louis ». Quinze ans plus tard, François de Beaufort y met au point la formule du cristal. Rebaptisée Cristallerie royale de Saint-Louis, la manufacture se consacre dès 1829 à la seule production du cristal et introduit notamment la notion du service de verres pour la table avec le célèbre modèle Trianon.
Aujourd'hui, Saint-Louis signe chaque jour des pièces en cristal réalisées par des maîtres verriers et des maîtres tailleurs comptant parmi les Meilleurs Ouvriers de France. Tous sont détenteurs d'un savoir-faire irremplaçable, enrichi de génération en génération. Grâce aux progrès autorisés
