Happy New Year, everyone!
I want to share a little about the making process of this New Year artwork.

I don’t often draw group illustrations like this because they take a lot of time—but for this piece, I really wanted to draw the trio no matter what.
I even changed the clothing designs before finishing the line art, because Albedo’s original outfit felt a bit too simple for this scene.

And yes—I actually took three pose reference photos of myself for this artwork 😂

I’m really glad I managed to finish this piece in time. December is always my busiest month, since I usually work on three special artworks at once. (The last one is for January 3rd ;))

I hope you enjoy both the artwork and the music.

I didn’t record the process for this piece, because I never expected “Pen for the Story You’ll Write” MV to receive so much attention.
So instead of a speedpaint, I’m sharing screenshots of my working layers for this artwork.

For the pose reference, I actually used my own body and took photos myself to help capture the angle and feeling more accurately.
I hope this gives you a small peek into how I worked on this piece!
