Sixty Seconds Of Shred
Welcome to my You Tube channel!
Do I know what I am doing here? Do I know where I am going with this? Not at all. This is a place for me to collect all my musical ideas in a lead guitar context. And possibly teach you some stuff along the way (Band related material will be on another channel)
I have always loved the 80's shred guitar era and this channel is heavily influenced by that period in time. But the material here will not be dedicated to one particular genre. There will be everything from blues to death metal, thrash metal, black metal. I have eclectic tastes and this will be reflected in the content you see here.
Some of the material will be original, some covers of my favourite solo's/songs.
As of 2023 my favourite playlists to work on are 'Shred guitar Licks Lessons' and 'Easy Licks That Sound Advanced'
My recordings are real. And can as a result have some rough edges. This is the way I like it! What you see is what you get!

I posted a video yesterday of me playing playing some death metal.
I got this comment. My channel is tiny, so I dont get that many comments, but the support for what I do has (so far) been overwhelmingly positive. But...occasionally I get something like this.
Weirdly I do find it quite cathartic responding to the negativity, as a lot of the time, it's dumb. I dont think this dude (I assume it was a dude) knew what to do with the response as the original comment has subsequently been deleted! 🤔

It's only tiny, tiny numbers in the YouTube world but getting to 100K views in less than a year using the platform is an achievement for me given that when I started I didnt think anyone would be remotely interested in watching me play guitar! Onwards! 😀
