This channel is to help document my journey as I undertake Flight training at my local community college through to Professional grade and into the regional airline. This is not going to be a fast or easy undertaking. I am starting this literally at day 1, well not even day one. January 17th 2020 I hope when the Spring Term starts.

So, I decided to have a logo commissioned to replace the current one.
The design is of Pin-up style with translucent wings so you can always see the back behind, When there is a picture the Wings almost disappear but they are really still there.

So all the Cross countries for Stage 1 (IV) have been completed with the Stage check. Has now been completed which means Comm 1 is complete.
Having flown all summer I am taking a bit of a break, before starting up again with learning a complex plane. So there will be no Wednesday videos for the time being. Back to one video per week on the Weekends.
In the fall, I'm doing the ground course for the CFI (instructor) re-taking the English class which I passed before but I'm hoping for a better grade. I am getting real close to 500 Subs which is amazing personally. So I hope to apply a change to the channel as I've had a logo commissioned by very talented artist.

I was able to go flying this weekend and I am already working on the video as I speak. I am however going to have to break the no night flight video rule just this once. As it is unavoidable In the commercial trainning you have to do 5 hours of Night time XC, in the part 141 training. So this video will most likely be entertaining for those who are interested in aviation than say how pretty the sun looks as it sets. I do try to balance between the two groups. However it would be wrong to not cover it at all.
That said, the eagle eye viewer will be quick to notice there is a distinct lack of Foreflight on my lap. This is my second Night XC and to make it challenging to me I wanted to recreate day XC without the Ipad but this time just night time. I printed out my nav plan and the approach I planned to use RNAV 35. The only difference I notice I was leaning a bit more on Harrisburg approach which was kind of unintentional, but turned out to be a plus. Quick example. Due to the cloud layer I was in or which was between me and KSEG, I was not able to pick up the ASOS.
Harrisburg on my intial call asked me to let me know when I picked it up, I was between 19nm-16nm distance from KSEG and I was not picking it up. Knowing the radio works on line of sight, I simply asked Harrisburg saying I can not pick up the ASOS and asked them for the winds. It was quite a rewarding flight, showing that foreflight really is just a luxury crutch.
Anyhow enough hints, video sometime Sunday.

Upcoming Videos for the week starting June 18th
Wednesday 21st: Unedited Flight to Albany and back to Allentown, Did you want to know if you too could be a Pilot? Find out by watching Wednesday video the longest unedited video. Learning to fly can always be taught, but the most basic nature is being able to sit. Wednesday video will have my Flight from Allentown to Albany NY and back. Try watching the video without stopping. Distractions are allowed just not allowed to leave your seat. If you want a break you can stop when the plane stops at Albany, I'll call that the silver level. If you want gold see if you can watch all the way until the end. - You would have to do this anyway if you were flying. So would it not be better to find out now if you have the endurance to sit this long? before spending any money?
Saturday 24th: Highlight: XC to Albany NY (KALB)
For those who prefer shorter videos, a shorter version of Wednesday video. Enjoy the views, the com traffic and the briefing and landing into Albany. Having just finished the briefing, the weather changed up on my and Albany flips runways. So I have to re-brief a whole new approach RNAV (Y) 19. This flight was a little more personal for me, last time I visited I was with my parents and before leaving I did the "MacArthur" promise. 2006 the promise was made. and although it didn't really make much sense as Albany is basically the same as Allentown both Charlie airports. 2023 I kept the promise. -It may take a little longer than planned or intended but once a goal is set. I will make it happen.

As I have acquired 350 Subs and uploaded 250 Videos. I wanted to fulfill a popular request.
I have often been asked to do a video of all the music I used for my videos that are not copyrighted.
I have a large collection of music and songs over. However the music I use which is not copyrighted is mostly from the website www.epidemicsound.com/. They provide a great service.
However I understand the nature of the request, some times myself I hear a 3 second clip and I'm whipping out Shazam on the Phone. They don't come up on the YouTube videos below in the description like the regular songs do.
In the 250 videos, I have used over 5 hours of music. Too much for a video. So I did the next best thing.
I have put together every single song I've used and put them together in a 5 hour track and uploaded it to my sound cloud. Yes, from start to finish it would take you 5 hours to listen to it all, perfect for those Cross Country trips.

Wednesday 14th : Respect Weather, Don't fear it. The video where we get to see the reason I got an IFR Rating for exactly that reason the Weather can change on you so fast. I made a number of mistakes including being to rigid with the weather report and not accepting sooner the weather report was useless soon as I took off.
Saturday 17th: Highlight Commercial XC to Atlantic City.
I flew IFR to Atlantic city, the airport itself is nice but if you ever visit here keep your hand on your wallet. As the FBO attempted to charge me $50 to use the bathroom. Yeah that is New Jersey for you.

Coming up next Wednesday on the 14th will be the main video, from which the special video is from.
You get to see first hand how despite all the briefing and flight planning everything can change so fast. The IFR ticket is to get you out of trouble. Weather can always change really quickly and the flight this past Tuesday proved it, it was always my inspiration for getting the IFR ticket to be safe.
The training worked, the weather briefing said one thing, 30 minutes later that weather briefing was worthless.
Coming this next Wednesday 14th.
