On September 28, 2025 🎂🎉, Jessica Williams, a 33-year-old mother of two from Chicago 👩‍👧‍👦, traveled to New Orleans with her sister, mother, and friends to celebrate her birthday. She was enjoying Bourbon Street, collecting birthday money 💵, laughing, and soaking in the energy of the French Quarter 🌃🎶. But the celebration turned into tragedy when two men, Mekhi Jarius Andry and Dontrell Bradley, got into an argument that escalated into gunfire 🔫. Shots ripped through the crowd, striking Jessica, her sister, and two others. Jessica collapsed while walking back toward her hotel, her life cut short only two and a half hours after her birthday celebration had begun. 🚨

Jessica’s sister, who goes by Vona Boyd on social media, was also shot but survived 🙏. Through her pain, she wrote online that losing her sister felt unbearable, promising to care for Jessica’s children “5ever.” Witnesses described the horrifying moment, with one woman saying she thought she was shot herself when the bullets came so close 💔😢. Police later confirmed that Andry faces murder and attempted murder charges, while Bradley was charged as a felon in possession of a firearm and also wanted on probation warrants. ⚖️ What should have been a night of joy ended in grief, leaving her family heartbroken and her children without their mother. But on September 23, 2025, that light was tragically dimmed 💔🔫. During a night of drinking, Tamara got into an argument over religion with 69-year-old Calvin Johnson Sr., a man she had once called a friend. After a heated exchange, Calvin went to his room, grabbed a shotgun, and shot her in the abdomen without warning 😢😡. Police arrived to find him confessing casually, showing no remorse, only self-pity. Sheqweetta “Qweetta” Vaughan, 32, was a woman whose life was filled with ups and downs, from being a mother of four children to enduring tragedy and hardship 💔👩‍👦. In December 2020, her world shattered when a crash on I-285 claimed the life of her 3-year-old son, Sameze 🚗💨😭. Toxicology reports showed she had fentanyl and anti-anxiety medication in her system, leading to charges that haunted her for years ⚖.
