Knitting, spinning, crocheting, plus natural dyes garden in the rolling hills of the west of Ireland. Colour mad, from earthy to vibrant! Susan's crafts on this #knittingpodcast here can also include felting, collage /art /nature journalling & a few more. In the natural dyes garden, the plants are used for my personal dyeing, as well as for use in teaching natural dyeing via Irish Fibre Crafters. When we garden,forage & and gather, we do & teach this in an ecologically minded way. Choosing love 💖

Day 5 & 6 Vlogtober are a bit delayed as we have Internet issues today & yesterday. Am out having a coffee at the lovely The Hidden Gem in Gort, county Galway. It also has wonderful items made by local artisans with special needs. I always am drawn to buy at least one handcrafted item when we come for coffee & cake! Lol, luckily we don’t visit every week- not that it is all expensive! Im knitting on the #MonsterMeshSocks by @madcowmandy274 as I wait for Tom to arrive after his appointment. Im really enjoying the easy pattern & the look it creates!

STORM UPDATE: we are currently in Storm Amy, a red warning wind storm, and have lost power again, this time not estimated to return until Saturday evening the 4th of October. So no videos for the next wee while until its back! We had it go off several times the past 2 days, but it returned after several hours- but now we are in for 24 more hours without. Autumn & Halloween candle time! Stay safe and hopefully cozy, everyone. Xx
